Thanks for the web sites. Commanded appointed family representative/ombudsman? I have never heard of such a thing. I don't know who to be persistent and respectful to. It seems like the army is trying to be more geared towards family these days, but I just don't know who to talk to... I hope it doesn't sound like I'm just a grouchy lady full of complaints... it just always seems like there are so many rules to follow but nobody ever even tells you what they are and they just reprimand you when you don't. I don't want to call some random office trying to get a hold of someone to answer my questions when they probably have better things to do and end up getting my husband in trouble... You know what I mean? But I knew of someone whose job was to answer my questions... Is there a person like that? I should google ombudsman. That's a funny word, by the way.

There are not sufficient words to describe how ridiculous it is that that much money was spent on this "project". It was a waste of money, indeed. I doubt that any slogan, branding, or billboard could possibly improve the likability or revenue of the city as much as the idiots behind this project seem to think it will. In fact, I'm sure it will do quite the opposite for anyone who knows the unfortunate misuse of what I presume is our city's tax dollars.

Tymeeka- I'm shocked that you would choose to embarass yourself by making these foolish statements. To all the people who claim that alcoholism is a disease- it's not. It's a choice. "Alcoholism" runs in my family, but I'm not an alcoholic because I have sense enough to know when to stop. I drink an occasional smirnoff but not to the point I get sick or endanger the lives of others. Drinking is not as big of a privilege as you seem to think it is, Tymeeka. There is so many other things in life to be concerned about. You don't state your age but I would be willing to bet that you're 18. Just relax and wait 3 more years- those 3 years will go by so quickly you won't even know what hit you. Please choose to drink responsibly, if you choose to do so at all. Also keep in mind that drinking does not make you cool, nor does the simple act of drinking make you more of an adult. There are so many things I could say to you and other people like you... but I doubt you will listen. I just hope you make responsible choices. I think deep down you know what's a good idea and what's really not.

I'm all for recycling and would be willing to pay for it, but just like tstorm 22001 was saying, this does make me wonder what our tax dollars are being used for.

Why would you want everyone's pages to be the same? If you don't like glittery icons, don't get them. If you don't like kids, don't talk to them. You think facebook is more user friendly? What makes you think so? Obviously, I prefer myspace. I think myspace is definitely more user friendly because it notifies you of everything all in the same place. Notifications of new messages, new photo comments, new comments etc. are all listed in the same place and in bold, noticeable print. On facebook there is a notification box in the bottom right hand corner that is barely noticeable and that I didn't even realize was there until about a month after I started using facebook. Half the things they notify me about I don't even care to know- like so and so took five million quizzes. I wish more people would still use myspace, but since they don't, I have gravitated to facebook.

I'm from Texas but go to college in Missouri, and boy do I miss the Texas sun when I am up there!~ I love the beach and stay there forever- literally. Whoever said your burn will turn into a tan is most likely right but it's different on different people. Just use sunscreen next time!
