Hey, it is not a city requirement to put the ballot in spanish. It is a federal requirement. Dont like it complain to Nobama. Like He will listen.

Wow this ought to get him elected. More bureacracy, and more taxes.
Please expand on your comment. Are you saying Emett was involved with the now defunct Outreach Word Academy?
Maybe you should have said there are some SOB's, whether Democrat or Republican, that do not support equality for women. Please name the Republicans to support your statement. To say it is generic holds no water with me.Unless you can produce a name then your statement is a bold face lie.
Sounds like Emett wants to tax and spend as well. Who do you think is going to foot the bill for his small business loans. The City is not a bank.If it is a viable project then a bank will fund it. Why does the City have to fund the loan? What does he mean "Let stick with the priorities and needs."Explain what you mean by these statements: "As a cost-saving matter, Alvarez said, he would not have supported raises for new employees as the current council did this year.
"They're still doing on-the-job training," he said."
Emett, you say city employees are not worthy of a raise because in your opinion they are not trained or still learning.
Emett said, "Other issues he wants to address are improving streets and drainage, reducing noise pollution and creating quiet zones. He also wants to survey businesses and cut spending."
Ok, cut spending, BUT lets spend more improving streets, drainage, reducing noise pollution and creting quiet zones. THESE COST MONEY. WHERE DO YOU THINK IT IS GOING TO COME FROM?
Emett what is your vision? Where do you propose to put the sewer plant? How come I never see Emett at the City meetings? He is never shown on the TV at the city meetings. Why? Because he doesn't go. How can he be a qualified candidate if he is not informed.
Vet, I wouldlike to know which republican said a woman's place is in the home? I am glad the Democrats came out with these outlandish resolutions. Affordable health care - Obamacare is not going to work and will be unconstitutional.Voter ID - I agree with VISD mom - what is so wrong with showing an id to vote. Could it be the Democrats can't pull a Duval County with voter id in place. Fact is I have to show my id right now to vote so what is the problem. Only those that want to hide something want to prevent the voter id.Death penalty - I support it. I also support justice and to make sure it is fair to all. Same sex marriage - don't impose your values on me. Marriage is between a man and a woman.Woman's rights - not sure what you are advocating. My wife is independent and has all the same rights I have. She can vote. She votes Republican. She can drive. She can go to school. She can get a loan. She can't seem to win the lottery, but then neither can millions of others. She has the power to choose. She chooses not to be a democrat. Legalizing pot is simply wrong. Pot is the first step towards harder drugs.
I support Denise. There are reasons why she voted for spending increases. Why don't you ask her and find out why instead of assuming she is a spend monger. I have talked with her several times and she told me the sewer plant decision was one of the hardest she had to make, but she was looking at the bigger picture of closing a smelly old plant for a new modern and less odor plant. I think her support of A&M instead of UH was right on target. Look at the ineptness of the current President of UHV that has no vision except trying to grow a univeristy on a postage stamp.Like the boots campaign or not it is working.
YES WE CAN AFFORD ANOTHER TERM.
With Emmett Alvarez we will be set back 20 years. There is a reason why he lost two elections. People don't want him. He doesn't appear to be at the City meetings. I never see him in the audience from the tv.
I go to the stadium to watch my friends nephew play and have never seen the restrooms like they are descrbed. I asked some questions and found that friends never cleaned the restrooms when they volunteered, Sounds to me like sour grapes.
Instead trying to inflame the sitiuation with inaccurate statements you could have spent, oh 27 seconds and found the informtion Lynn Short was saying is true. I went to TCEQ's website and found out about the 75% rule. There is also a 90% rule too, but you did not know that because you failed to do some homework.
Info from TCEQ.
Under the current rule, whenever a domestic wastewater treatment plant reaches 75 percent of thepermitted daily average flow for three consecutive months, the permittee is required to initiateengineering and financial planning for expansion and/or upgrading of the treatment plant and/orcollection facilities. Whenever flows at a domestic wastewater treatment plant reach 90 percent of thepermitted daily average flow for three consecutive months, the permittee is required to obtainauthorization from the commission to commence construction of the necessary additional treatment.
Dale/Emett and others. If you do not believe the info I have posted, you can google the information under TCEQ. The City has been upfront and Dale/Emett want to throw wrenches into the fray. Dale/Emett have you even visited another modern plant that employs odor control.Apparently not, becuase then you would not have any arguments. I am not a Water or waste water employee, I am not on Council or affiliated with the engineering firm. I am someone that has been following this mostly through City TV and the paper.
I don't think so! Your comments were uncalled for and idiotic. I really hope you never need the Police, but if you do I bet you will be singing their praises. Face it your lame attempt at humor was way off.
