That was very touching and insightful. The glam of the job shines over the bad..but the bad is sometimes more impacting than the good. I would give anything to forget that day, and twice as much to not move forward in what we all have to do next.

Cattleman, Vietnam was before my time, but I often heard stories from my uncle. He served but was not in the main combat. There is a special place in my heart for all our service man and women, and their families. I don't know what to expect but I know it will affect me.
i am posting on my wall and not sure what that will do lol
Sad but true, there are people who believe that Diabetes is a self inflicting "problem" that is not a real disease. I thank you for your reply.
PatB,Yes, lumping all diabetes types into one is very much a problem. Hopefully we can push for more research so that we can seperate the two, three..if not five different types of diabetes. Maybe once we seperate them can we really treat them. Thanks for the reply.
JR, I think what you are doing for diabetes is great!! You may not remember me, I was the one who did the walk in EL Campo. We did great and I already have sponsors and teams that want to sign up for next year!!! Thanks again!~elisa
