There were only two in the chest; the head wound came from hitting the ground. The officers weren't trigger happy, they protected the rights of the law-abiding people around the person who brought an unidentified weapon to school. He already assaulted one student and he refused to drop his weapon. It is sad that it came to this but the police did their job.
I never said FEDERAL or STATE aid did I? A lot of other states have non-profit organizations that will help parents and guardians find an size/age appropriate child seat then help with partial or even full payment depending on the need.
Grammy07-Look into a Graco Nautilus for your grandson. It is a child seat to booster conversion. That way he can't get out of his seat.
VISDmom, I just want to clarify one of your points. You CAN call the police if you see a child unrestrained...the operator is going to want a lot of details. (This may not be all of them just what I remembered) 1) The make, model, and color of the car 2) (If possible) license plate 3) Number of occupants 4) Direction car was heading. 5) Where was the child (Front seat in lap etc) I have actually called them for this and was able to call the police. While running my errands I actually drove past the officer and the car I called in being pulled over. I don't like getting someone "in trouble" but it makes me hope that they will go get or use their child seat to prevent possible accidents like this one.
VicAD, maybe you guys could do some research where people can find monetary help getting purchasing infant and child seats in our area. Thanks for all that you do!
Great Job on missing the boat here VicAd!!! You forgot one of the facts in the case. The daughter has cerebral palsy!!! The man was beating a disabled child. HIS DISABLED CHILD! How can we assume that this man has the moral compass to judge his FAMILY COURT cases if he thinks that "beating (his disabled daughter) into submission" is not "as bad as it looks"?
I agree with Sera. I very occasionally use my phone book I think that should have been an option.

VicAd, I think this is a great idea but could you organize it by city?
As for the buses most of them drive like a bunch of idiots. Way to fast and moving in and out of traffic as well. You would never think these drivers gave a hoot that they were carrying a bus load of passengers.
^^^This may be the case in MOST scenarios but if you have ever driven by where they are talking there is a hill coming up next to Fleming prairie so when the pick-up driver pulled out in front of them the driver of the bus would not have had enough time to correct thus resulting in this accident...
Maybe instead of banning towing vehicles, require that they only tow during daylight hours, use more hazard lights and create stiffer penalties for those who can't follow the law.
They should invest more money and time fixing thier crappy cable service than on the near constant stream of TV commercials bragging on how good they are. ^This X1000
I have experienced this. I wonder if Suddenlink would mine me paying my bill intermittently? No, I tried this and they billed me for the remainder and a late fee, can we say RUDE!
3. Why do charges continue to rise and service is getting worse? Our internet (the only suddenlink service I still pay for) has been going in and out for the past few days. Thank God I got my phone through someone else so I can call and COMPLAIN!!!
Weatherscan is now channel 137 for those privileged enough to have it. You should have received a notice in the mail so you could UPGRADE your service (HAHAHA)....I called suddenlink corporate about a month ago and told them of the 5!! Boxes that i had had only 1 of them worked properly. and it was on its last leg. All of their equipment had been pre-used garbage. Honestly Suddenlink if there was another option for internet usage; I would have already switched!
