The boys are being interrogated without parents being present and/or a juvenile officer being there to hear what is going on." Were you there? Are you a parent? Do you know a parent of one of these children? I think we should allow the investigation be conducted by investigators who know what is going on and what they are doing. To tnt88.....these boys could have injured a lot of people with this "prank" and I agree they need to face some stiff punishment for doing this not only in a public place but for doing it period. Let's all be grateful no one was injured and allow justice to take place.

Justice, why do you have such a grudge against Sheriff Brumby? I can remember the former Sheriff Robert DeLaGarza allowing current inmates to wear "street clothes" because it might embarrass them. Give me a break Justice. I can also remember the former Sheriff Robert DeLaGarza allowing inmates to have furloughs with other jailers....so if you want to compare Sheriffs then I am ready and waiting. Oh, by the way, I can back this factual information up with a sworn deposition given by the former Sheriff, in which he attest this is the truth. Flame on.

One who puts the citizens first and not his own self interest. Third "Justice"...sounds like you are a bit upset because you were not re-hired and have an axe to grind with Sheriff Brumby. Everyone needs to realize a few things: 1. Goliad VFD is the main responder on all incidents within the county. 2. County VFD's are short - handed a majority of the time and rely on Goliad VFD. 3. Goliad VFD is short - handed at times and depends on the other agencies. Teamwork is the answer here. Not only teamwork from all VFD's but teamwork from the City Council and the Commissioners Court. If memory serves me correctly, Commissioner Pct.2, Jerry Rodriquez was instrumental in discontinuing funding to the Goliad VFD. He even bragged about it at a previous Commissioners Court meeting. Now, he is quoted as calling the City "arrogant and holding them hostage"....give me a break. Everyone needs to remember, all of the fine men and women that volunteer for any fire department in the county are the ones who are giving to the community. If you live in the county, express your concern to your County Commissioner, you did vote for him to speak for you. I would hate to see the GVFD be limited to responses, it could be catastrophic to all. However, I know the County could pitch in a few more bucks, haven't you ever heard one particular commissioner state, "We have money everywhere." Good luck Chief Morales, you have always done a fine job.
Surely, this cannot be the same County Judge that: 1. Informed a person under the DelaGarza administration she was being investigated by the previous County Auditor? 2. That has continously lied about dealings with the Navy and the Goliad Airpark. 3. Allowed Goliad County equipment to be utilized by a private individual whom was leasing the Airpark for personal use. 4. That PR Bonded someone out who threatened to kill the current Sheriff....yes PR Bond, did I mention this violator was the Judge's cousin? 5. And finally, yellow bellied himself and his agenda item off the 8/10/2009 Commissioner Court. All because he claims POLITICS played a bigger part in it than he would like.
"Iknow" you are right on the money.
Wake up Goliad, attend Commissioner Court meetings and find out for yourself how your money is represented and by what ethical, moral characters.
