    Mz,

You are correct in saying too many lives have been lost due to excessive drinking. The majority of those were inattentive lawbreakers.

But last time I checked, for those of legal drinking age, it’s still okay to get stupid drunk in your home. Just stay off the road…

Might I recommend alternating between the History Channel and Cartoon Network?

It’s just too damn bad that Billy Mays is no longer with us, because I could see him selling that ridiculous thing on an infomercial.

It seems contradictory and there is obviously a lack of practicality with this product. What climate/season is the Hood Thong designed for, really?

Warm up top, nothing for protection down low…Maybe the hood is to hide the shame on your face when you wear it.

It looks like something I would see on an SNL skit. Thank God they don’t show a line of the Hood Thong for men.

One improvement I would make is to change the hood material to the reflective metallic looking fabric so the aliens can’t read your mind.

Poor, poor Mr. Saenz…..The only human being on planet earth that is having a hard time.

"If people want to take comfort in my misfortune, I guess I'll be the sacrificial lamb," he said. "But I am proud to be the mayor of Cuero despite some downfalls in my personal life." - Saenz

    Misfortune???

I pass along my condolences for the death of his father, but death is natural and everyone is forced to deal with it.

How misfortunate to own five business, and be blessed by God with nine children, and reside as mayor of Cuero.

The misfortunate Mr. Saenz cut a check for the full $18K. Seems to me that if he were so misfortunate he might opt of a payment plan.

To achieve all that Mr. Saenz has, one needs to be competent and a planner. I doubt the fact the he owed $18K in taxes just slipped his mind.

I try not to make assumptions, but is it feasible that maybe, possibly, perhaps, conceivably, Mr. Saenz, first term mayor, thought if he didn’t pay the taxes his mayoral standing might entitle him to special treatment???

Thanks to the county for holding this “sacrificial lamb” accountable.

Well I guess I should zero out my 401K contributions and stop paying extra on the principle of my mortgage.

That way I will have plenty extra cash on hand to go out in style. I’ll be wearing the finest tux with an overly large top hat. I’ll wear a Rolex engraved Team 2013,

Wait…no, that’s all malarkey and shenanigans.

The way our economy is going the dollar will have zero value in the 2012/2013 era. We’ll all be trading tangible goods like chicken eggs for gasoline and vise versa.

Through this whole ordeal I could just sense a Nike executive hovering over the “cancel sponsorship button.”
The joke of the week was, “Hey, Friday I outdrove Tiger Woods.”
Despite the pun in poor taste, I do feel for all parties and am eager for truth.

    ABran,
I didn’t see the AMA’s, and the YouTube video has been pulled by Dick Clark Productions. I read about it, and yes there is a double standard. Lambert can suck face with any boy he likes as far as I’m concerned. I would change the channel to a rerun episode of Golden Girls the moment I saw it, but still his choice. Now if it were Stacy Ferguson, openly bi-sexual, were kissing another female…..Well, I might watch a little longer:)

    Seriousbizness,
There are actually three sides to every story; 1st side, 2nd side, and the truth.
He broke the law well before he even fired the gun. Even if he was attacked, we’re talking a couple punches and then the bouncers throw them out. I wasn’t there, thank God, but really…? Firing a series of shots in the air at a nightclub? If he was attacked, I find it hard to believe that his life was ever in danger unless the attacker also had a gun which the story does not reflect. I’m glad you’re, “not trying to find excuses for him.”

I wonder if they’ll amend the dress code? Are Kevlar vests now acceptable? Can you starch and iron Kevlar? Do I have to tuck in my Kevlar vest?

I agree Holly1 about the one less thug and expense. Unfortunately no legal gun owner would be carrying in Dirty Canyon. Even concealed handgun license holders are prohibited from entering a 51% establishment with a handgun. 51% is that or more of their income derived from the sale of alcoholic beverages.
    Thank you Jeff Cowan!
Imagine the irony if this would have happened at Shooters…
