Yeah...mine was Alexandria,LA. Had two airlines (continental express) and Delta coming out of it. The main city was about this size. Had similar surrounding areas in Shreveport/Bossier, Baton Rouge, New Orleans.

I used to live in a town this exact size that gave service to multi state airline travel (and yes they had nearby major HUBs). Until the city grows up and gets vision, air travel here will struggle. VIC to Houston is a stupid route. yes keep that route, but why not expand to Dallas where you can offer connections to multi hubs. Then as traffic increases have jet travel. the community I came from had regular jet flights to Memphis, Atlanta, New Orleans, Houston and Dallas. If you think one route that takes longer than to drive is the way to go, get some glasses and get vision.

I don't think it is that at all. Think VC just wanted this undersized facility.

Why is this the primary story on the front page?!? Business page maybe, and I mean maybe, but front page?!? Seriously?!? It read like a paid environment. Lets get this straight, benefits, city events get dropped to middle of random section. Fade haircuts, FRONT PAGE!

Most of the time there are some issues. The kicked with the cell phones is that it is the older generation (50s on up) that I have found to be the worst offenders. It is like they do not know how to silence phone, send to voicemail or afraid of accessing voicemail, and when they answer....they talk super loud.

And do we even need to mention the writer of the article being with friends?

As a person who has been to games for years, this is pure sour groups from friends. This year the restrooms actually have adequate lighting, are devoid of spiders hanging from everywhere and don't reak. Heck one visiting coach even commented the actual field was in the best shape it has ever been in.

So no cap, no jeans that are not starched, no shorts...the groups right but don't see this place lasting long

Teak Gamma...not sure where you are coming from on that. Maybe sports are new. There are millions of reasons things like this happen in sports. I will grant the Harlandale coaches may have some responsibility in how they coach players to handle loss. Mostly, this could never have been foreseen.
