"If you figure it out let me know! I've taken his stuff, put it on a TCAM, slowed it way down while keeping it in pitch, and still scratch my head trying to bend those strings like he does. Truly one of the greatest. I'll tell you who the next SRV is, his name is Joe Bonamassa. Check out his song "Walk in My Shadows" - the guy is awesome. later, X "

"Ole Bear is older than me so we have lots of vinyl from the 50's --especial torch singers. Lots of torch singers. I call it music to cut your throat by if you are depressed. : ) But some nights with the lights low listening was great. My turn table died. I need another quality one. Hubby loves to listen to blues sax and blues music. He was brought up in Mississippi --he had the experience of living in a town that had a section called the "blues front" --as a young teenager he saw and listed to all the black blues singers coming from Chicago to New Orleans sing and entertain. He taught me to appreciate that fine music and culture. In fact his daughter just sent us a flyer about one great passing and they had a memorial show for him. I like listening to music that I can hear the musicians, rifts, and the smokey singers. I loved some of the jam sessions that have been recorded. But I also still some of the blues and jazz singers from the 60's on up. Our CD system quit too. We use to put on at night with bottle of wine and just listen. Have listened til dawn.....as one of my husband's nephews once said about an artist --moma tht music speaks to me....he was four."
