Vic Ad, this an incredible load of garbage you have posted. The VPOA clearly stated in the meeting that they were withdrawing the petition to allow the new Police Chief a chance to resolve the issues within the department. You are making a habit of printing false stories. Public outcry was never mentioned by the VPOA.

HookEm, under a meet and confer contract the licensed officers have signed the petition allowing the Victoria Police Officers Association to represent them. They do not have to be members of the association to be represented by them under this type of contract.

There appears to have been quite a spin put on this story. I would love to know how a tax increase will be caused by allowing officers to express their opinions on subjects that affect their lives and jobs. After doing research on this topic, there is nothing binding with a meet and confer contract. It is simply an avenue for the officers to express their opinions. From what I understand by doing research, the city can simply tell them thanks for your opinion, but no thanks.

Mr. Cuaron, maybe you should try doing some research on this topic and print a factual story!

Im just gonna throw two cents worth in this pot. All these people whining about staying informed can watch the news or local tv to hear about emergencies. The Police are going to release that information to the media outlets to get that kind of information out there. I would invite any of you folks in here that think the Police hate minorities, to go ride along with the Police. These men and women work very hard on a daily basis to protect you and make sure you have the right to spit at them with your hatred. I would like for one of you to show me some proof of racial discrimination that the VPD is taking part of. This is not the 60's and we dont live in LA. Most of the Men and Women that work at the VPD are from around here and grew up around here. Leave the Police to do their jobs and find a new target to direct your hatred at. The scanners will go silent whether you like it or not. Its nothing we can change. If you feel so compelled to be informed, go ride with them. Anyone thats over 18 can ride with the Police. Some of you feel that you are entitled to know whats going on all of the time. Some of you think that its good to know when the Police are going to do a raid on someones house. The problem with that is the bad guys are gonna know its coming and destroy the evidence or run. Without the evidence, you will continue to live next door to drug dealing idiots. Look at the big picture folks, ITS NOT ALL ABOUT YOU!

To all of you Tyler and Hagan loving idiots out there.................

    I TOLD YOU SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Normally I dont like to rub it in this deep, but in your cases you deserve every bit of it. You all need to pack it up and take that group of grumpy old communist idiots with you that want the charter ammendments.

Now that Tyler got smacked down, I wonder how long it will be before he stops taking the VPD's cases again. Little Stevie got paddled in the principles office today, but he'll be back on the playground tomorrow being the same old psychopath kid.

    TPO,

My source is the fact that Hagan cant answer the question when he is asked. The source is also anyone who has worked at Hospice long enough to remember when Hagan was there. Why dont you get Hagan to answer the question in public instead of him running all around it.

I'll tell you what I think is funny. Watching Hagan dodge the question of whether or not he left working at Hospice while under investigation for stealing money from the orginization.

He'll say that he accepted a better job with better pay and benefits, but wont answer the question about the missing money!

That sounds like a person I want controlling my tax dollars, NOT!!!!

    Yume,

To answer your question, yes Tyler is still going after Echeverry. Echeverry has attempted several times to have this charge and arrest removed from his criminal record with no luck. Mr. Tyler cant accept the fact that Echeverry was found innocent. Im not trying to start a slander campaign here, but the man who preaches about the justice system and corruption doesnt seem to be aboe to handle the fact that he lost that case. Tyler has petitioned TCLEOSE (Texas Standards on Law Enforcement Standards and Education) who issues and holds all Texas Peace Officers license's several times to have Echeverry's license revoked. Echeverry was found innocent and Tyler has no grounds to have his license removed, yet he still cant let it go.

I have my opinions in this case, but for someone who doesnt, it makes you wonder why Tyler has a grudge against Officers (except DPS). Just like in the Echeverry case, when the Chief is found innocent, I'll bet you everything that own that Tyler will continue making up charges to and looking for anything he can to keep messing with the Chief.

    VBB,

Echeverry was not charged with rape, or sexual assualt. The Police Department filed the case against Echeverry and it was accepted by the DA's Office. Echeverry was found innocent by 12 citizens in this community of all wrongdoing. He never lost his license. Even though he was found innocent, Tyler still went after his Peace Officer license and lost that battle also.

I'm not trying to pick a fight with anyone in here, but leave Echeverry out of this. He stood up and faced teh charges against him and didnt accept any plee agreements because he knew he was innocent. Just like the Chief and other city officials arent going to accept any plee deals. Echeverry still holds a Police Officer License and will continue being a Policeman once he is done serving country in the war.

As far as calling that lady a liar, it may have been uncalled for. Maybe in her mind she really believes that something happened to her. Neither she or Tyler had any evidence then and they dont have it now, because nothing ever happened.
