"Being that you, jonsteward55, and lamppost both work in the local government sector, maybe Matt Ocker will start making the budget cuts with the two of you."

"Wow Lampost, you hit the nail on the head. I am trying to understand Mr Ockers post but its like you said. "It's like I listening to Obama's words come out of MattOcker's mouth." It would be helpful for me and other voters to understand what he wants to cut. Mr Ocker said "The current CC should have to explain why all of that expense is necessary" I was just asking WHAT expense in particular. I guess I wont get an answer but at least it will help me decide who to vote for maybe."

""This is a battle of philosophies" No, this is a battle where a real plan of action is needed over someone's philosophies. MattOcker has time and again dodged direct questions about his plan of action, and now you have done the same. It's like I listening to Obama's words come out of MattOcker's mouth. "We need change!" Why can't he simply state what he is going to change. I tend to believe the guy that says " I'm going to work out at the gym 3 times a week, with a short term goal of losing 2 pounds a week, and an over all goal of losing 50 pounds" then the guy that says "I need to lose weight""

"You said: "You and MattOcker have said that 'a shift in attitude toward fiscal thrift' is what this County needs. Great, I'm all for it..." If you're "all for it", perhaps it's time to engage Matt in a constructive way. I understand the value in playing devil's advocate, but for someone who supports leaner government, you display a unique way of trying to promoting discussion toward that goal. I have personally chosen to seek out & support citizen-candidates with platforms like Matt's and find ways to aid their causes. This is a battle of philosophies, and I think Matt is on the right side of the issues. It's time to consider acting like you're "all for it" and become a part of the exchange of ideas in a constructive way. -Regards"
