The article says that, "The lack of change is linked to the real estate climate"
That can't be right, can it?
I thought the Central Appraisal District was the tool the City and County used to raise taxes without raising the tax rate.
LOL!
Johnanthonylara, there's sooooo much to make fun of here, I don't even know where to begin.
I'm going to enjoy my weekend, and I'll rip this to shreds on Tuesday.
Thanks for the laugh.
"Laugh"post out!
"tetherball with a midget"
NOW THAT'S SOME FUNNY STUFF!!!!
I can't stop laughing at that!
Writein, Writein, Writein...
You never answered my question of where you got your "information" that 60% of VISD students are dropped out.
You pointed to an Advocate Article, but that article clearly stated otherwise.
LOL!!!
I think I'm going to create a new internet acronym.
LAY = Laughing At You
LAY!!!
"It is the responsibility of leaders to get people to do what is needed, not the other way around, my friend. "
Well if that's not the definition of The Nanny State of mind, I don't what is.
"those that are in charge are not promoting community leadership, plain and simple."
Well it's obvious that you have never talked to your Mayor, City Council Member, County Judge, or County Commissioner.
It's obvious you have never heard of the Leadership Academy.
This is why I satire people on this website.
LOL!!!
"I will say that in some cases trying to get some of these people to see that things aren't as bad as they think is a lesson in futility."
And that's why I do what I do now.
I know some people don't like it, but, at some point when the little boys and girls cry "Wolf!", not only are people going to stop believing them, I'm going to parody them.
What's really sad is when the real Wolf (Outreach Charter) comes out, these little boys and girls are no where to be found.
In all seriousness, I'm pretty sure the point of Jared's blog is to say that to get involved, you must "Get involved"
I agree that there are some very qualified people out there to serve the community, but how are people supposed to know of their intention to offer their service if they don't show up to anything and are not involved with anything.
When looking for people to serve on some of these projects, should Civic Leaders just go door to door like Jury Duty?
Personally, I'd rather see the usual cast of characters because I know they are willing to dedicate their time because of their proven track record of dedication.
I'm sure Jared is drawing from his own experience here.
Perhaps to better illustrate the point, Jared, you could detail the things you are involved in.
"So he should give in to the negativity?"
No, don't give in to the negativity, just make fun of it!!
Quick, down play this thing as much as possible, otherwise it will end up a success like the CAT plant.
I love it because no one has come out against the switch, A&M can only hear the voices of the Supporters.
Wait a minute!
There is something wrong with this story.
