Why don't you write about some of the kids from the Class of 2004 who just started their 1st year of med school. Indian boy, a hispanic girl , a hispanic boy(my son) , a black boy ,and an oriental boy. Their 's a white boy also. I think that is a lot of kids that are going to be doctors and they all graduated together from MHS.
It has everything to do with VISD!! What other school do you know of that loses half of the class by senior year?!!!Did Bloomington lose half of their senior class?Cuero? Goliad?
From my experience, the counselors don't know what is going on.You are better off getting information from parents that have kids that have already graduated. If you child is going to college try to find a parent that has a child at the college your are looking at and ask that parent for help. Call the college at least 2 years before your child graduates for answers, too. Make sure your child takes his/her SAT's or ACT's before December of their Senior year unless they are going to VC.
I believe in MY children and they are succeeding!!!NO thanks to VISD!!!I have 2 that have already graduated Class of 2004 and Class of 2007 and one more year!!! I don't have to deal with VISD any more!!! Something is definitely wrong when half of the the kids they started out with are not graduating!!New high schools? You think that will help? Can't wait to see that!!
I heard in the news in the fall that a study was done in Europe. They said to eat a bacon sandwich if you have a hangover and it will go away. I don't drink but I have told my family to try it. Nobody I've told has tried it so I can't say that it works.
That sounds about right. It 's been like that for the past 10 years. In 2004 when my son graduated, they added some old veterans to inflate the numbers.
Bob Moore protects his employees no matter how wrong they are. He tried to cover up things McCord did 2 years ago when we went to talk to the school board. My papers I submitted to VISD were missing but I had copies. At the end of that meeting , we proved we were right and then the board said they did have the jurisdiction to do anything about it. Moore was incharge of his employees and he backed his employee! I don't understand why the board wasted our time if they couldn't do anything about the problem!!! We were there till midnight!
And they want to have a uniform dress code!!That means that they'll have to supply uniforms for all the poor families that cannot afford them. The teachers complain every year that they don't have the supplies they need in the class room. My daughter took a PE dance class in the fall and spring of her freshman year and the shoes for that class never arrived. I wonder if VISD ever ordered them!

As of Febuary 2009 the Class of 2010 is down to 745 and they started with like 1200 students, too.

Let see if the board uses any of the choices the students submitt or are they just wasting their time like before.
