VISD cannot enforce the dress code that is in place right now!!! How are they going to enforce the new dress code? You see boys being interviewed on the news that haven't shaven in days, student wearing piercing on their nose or other parts of the face. How is a uniform going to cover all that up?

When the kids get to college, there is no dress code!!!Some go to class in their pajamas, some where slippers instead of shoes. No body cares!!! It won't enhance your learning if you dress like a nerd!! Either your smart or you work at it but clothes are not going to help!!!McCord needs to concentrate on the curiculum and make sure the teachers follow it. There are kids with piercings all over at the high school and no body sends them home. It will just be kids with polos and kakis and the piercings. They need to enforce the dress code that they have now , not try to come out with another and have it enforce!!!!
Its March 16 thru the 20th.
I think teachers don't see the students because they are too busy on the internet to care!! Or they themselves are on their cell phones! When my daughter was in 4th grade, her teacher came running out of her class room yelling "I have to go! My husband was in a car accident!!" Somebody had called her on her cell phone to tell her that her husband had been in a car accident! She just left her class unattended!! Turn out her husband just had a fender bender and was not hurt! I told the principal that what she did was wrong and that she shouldn't have had her cell phone on during class! He just said he would talk to all his teachers.
My older son played football from 7th grade thru his jr. year and is now 22 years old. He has shoulder and back problems from playing football. My other son hurt his back in junior high from carrying another kid and running across the field because a football coach made him even though he wasn't in football. He now has back problems!!!I really don't think it is the sport but the stupid things the kids have to do that the coaches order them to do!!!
