He came by my house yesterday...... driving very fast up our driveway, asked for a drink, didn't mind our private property signs. And I read this article so I did get his license plate number. He is from Illinois, what is he doing in south Texas with all our information? He had information about our neighbors. We called our neighbors to inform them of this man. They called us back saying he had came by, saying we sent him over there which was not true. Plus we live in a very rural area that never gets salesmen. Seems very creepy. I called the local authorities, but they said they could do nothing.

I live in Goliad, down a dead end road, and was visited by the salesman described. He had an Illinois plate. I was very alarmed, we usually do not get salesman down this back road. He speed up our driveway. Knew our names and had a list of our neighbors names. I was wondering what kind of Salesman from Illinois would have all this personal information for small town Goliad. Seems to be pretty creepy to me. He also asked if we had something to drink, as if he wanted to come inside. Also we have a private property sign on next to our gate and he came on threw. I wish our law would check these people out, or ask them to leave the area since their presence is making their citizens so nervous.

What a blow to my heart................. To loose a man so many loved, a man we trusted with our lives and who brought life to our children. With hearing this news I broke down and I know I am just one of all the many lives he has touched. I will treasure his memory, and never forget what a great doctor, man, human being he was. WE WILL MISS YOU.

Maybe the officer should not have left a note then the Pena's wouldn't have have anyone to blame but themselves.

They should be thankful for the note. At least they know what happenned and not just had to wonder if they were abused or fighting with other animals.

Pena's when you point your finger there are 3 pointed back at you!

Take care of your pets!!! He could have called the animal police on ya.

I believe if you are 18 and considered an adult by law you should be able to make adult decisions.  I think if the age was lowered there might be problems the first couple years because teens would be excited that they can now drink at a younger age, but after a few years it wouldn't be so exciting.  It seems like I wanted to drink more when I wasn't of age.  Also today many 18 year olds are so imature, hopefully they would start acting like adults.
At 18 you should be able to do everything as an adult.  Truth is some people are responisble enough, and some aren't no matter what their age.
I graduated high school and worked construction at 18.  I worked all day like an adult, I'd like to enjoy a cold one in the evening as one.

Hey mom, who are you going to blame if he drinks next week when he is out of school? You should be taking more time in teaching your kid right from wrong, locking the liquer cabinet, or monitoring you child so he doesn't get involved with alchol. Where was the school? You mean were were you?
