What this District Attorney did to Officer Buentello, David Smith, Bruce Ure and Mayor Armstrong is reprehensible. He owes them an apology and he owes the taxpayers of Victoria $291,000. Those who voted him back into office should be embarrassed.
mytwocents - you and the rest of of your CAVE people (Citizens Against Virtually Everything) friends - get a life! There are a number of community leaders who love Victoria and are commited to improving this town . Patillo is just one of many. One of these days when we have a vibrant destination university, a thriving, inviting city park (complete with enough places for visitors to park), an exciting historic downtown (sidewalks and all) you will probably want to take the credit. Go back in your cave.
Why would a business person in their right mind try to do anything in this town and risk the negativity that is written in these on-line comments? Seems like the best thing for Victoria would be a little encouragement to people willing to invest in our community.
To all who are reading this and wondering what YOU can do, let me offer a few suggestions: 1)Spay/neuter your own pets (even if they rarely go outside). 2)Encourage your acquaintances to do the same. 3)Choose your next pet from one of the local shelters ( they are full to overflowing with beautiful dogs and cats). 4)Encourage your acquaintances to do the same. 5)Send a donation to one of our rescue organizations (Adopt-a-Pet, 8215 Houston Hwy, Victoria, TX 77901 or Dorothy O'Connor Pet Adoption, 135 Progress Dr, Victoria, TX 77905). 6)Encourage your acquaintances to do the same. 6)Let your voices be heard by contacting your city/county officials. We absolutely can move Victoria to No-Kill, one step at a time.
