GREAT JOB!!!!!! VISD. I have three children in school and my youngest in private school. It cost ALOT less for standardize dress code then the older ones wanting the latest and greatest. And he doesnt have a problem tucking or buckling. Children adapt and learn unless they are being told that this is to much for you to handle and it is not right them making you wear this. This is not a punishment people!! I am proud of VISD board for making a hard but forward thinking decison!!!
UIL will be visiting this district!! VISD Parents be ready for anything, because they will dig. TEA violation between boys and girls programs, remember Finley equal rights for both. Why don’t we unlock the "boy’s baseball field" and allow the girls to practice, oh that’s right you gave them a little grassy area to practice on!! I bet if the boys field was tore up you would have pushed the girls off theirs. Why did you allow the CYFL to have the stadium at no cost with only a 2 hour cleaning fee. I bet all the other organization would like the same deal!! What happened to VISD policy about facility fees? It is time for you to go! We don’t want UIL violation to tarnish our new school and hold us back. VISD property needs to be returned back from the ranch!!

With the kids always hearing that type of attitude who would want to be good enough. If you could only hear what these kids say after a loss about the comments from adults! shame on you. I have three boys one graduated in 2008 and the other just going into 9th grade. The support that this town has shown the kids is very poor. When kids are supported they perform at higher levels.
I’m disappointed that standardize dress was not implemented. You had the time to review the poll results. But the committee had there on opinion. Board Members please listen to us, the parents, and voters! Why is this a toughie!!! Cuero and other school have done it. It is not hard. What is hard is for everyone involved to have there interpretation of the current code! Please start reconsidering this issue early for next school year. Brand new schools and Brand new look!
Victoria if you have not experienced POCO in POC then you have to go! Show up about 4pm and sit in your lawn chair with your umbrella with a cold one. And I promise you will see things you have never seen before. Big Boats, Big Fish and Big Fun! OMG Victoria head on down to POC and you will be hooked!
