This is absurd! Social media has not increased voter turnout among 18-24 years olds. If you look at a graph for the last 20 years you will see a steady decline until the last ten or so years. During the last ten years there has still been a decline but slightly less of one than the previous years.

Secondly, who gives a crap about the office of Mayor. You can elect a wooden box with a slot cut into the top and it will do just as good, if not better, than human at any age. After all, the office of mayor is nothing more than a human complaint box. There have been cities in southwest Texas that have elected everything from farm animals to dead people to fill the office of mayor. How could a barista be any worse? At least she is conditioned to listening to people and doing all she can to fulfill their requests.

What is love? I cannot determine my stance on this article unless I know how the author defines love.

In accordance with the laws set forth by our nation. He should be tried before a military court and declared guilty he should be punished in accordance with the law.

I find myself in General Sam Houston's shoes at this point. While all these crazies are hollering for death, I find myself wanting more. We should find out why he did what he did, what made him go from thoughts and talk to action. We need to learn from this event so that similar mistakes are not made later.

Most importantly WE MUST NOT LET THIS JUSTIFY THE DISCRIMINATION OF ISLAMIC SOLDIERS/CITIZENS.

I like how the author openly says "I learned from Glenn Beck..." The only thing a person can learn from Glenn beck is the vast amounts of unsupported, unconfirmed, opinionated fecal material that can spew from a person's mouth.

Seriously, the guy openly admitted that he doens't check his "facts" if they can even be categorized as such. he admits that he doesn't deal with journalism because he is a commentator, and all he has to do is throw his opinion out there. That's the equivalent to asking Pepper how far a person can see into the past and future when they cross over the event horizon of a black hole.

I don't remember hearing President Obama claim that people that disagree with him are racist, but then again I have missed a few episodes of Glenn beck so I might not know because he hasn't told me yet.

The reason they do restrict certain items is because studies how that students perform better when they are required to dress in a more professional manner. I am not saying I agree with the dress code, but I am just informing you that there has been studies and research that justify the districts dress code.

Capital punishment is killing a person.

I have come to realize that more and more people are being executed. As an alumnus of Memorial High School, I walk around and read about prison sentencing. Its hard these days to forgive and rehabilitate inmates, as is the goal of the US prison system. This doesn't give us the right to execute them before they get the chance to change themselves.

Everyday in the newspapers, you read about killings and murders, but why is it OK to kill a prisoner but a crime to kill a free man?

This is a dumb law. It doesn't prevent people from being on the cell phones, it only prevents people from holding their phones in their hand while they are driving. If you have a bluetooth device or even the headset that comes with the iPhone you can talk until your face turns blue and no one will even bat an eye. Also, the law only applies is school zones place a certain sign that is a certain size on the school zone signs. I cannot even begin to recollect all the school zones I have driven through in the lat few months that have no signs banning cell phones. This law is a joke.

"Well Politico, why don't you go on over there & find out for us. You could show them support & prove your point." - VBB

So I am supposed to "go over there" and "show them support & prove" my point without intervening into the situation. How do you suppose I could go to Iran and show my support to the protesters without intervening into the situation. By being over there to show support I would be intervening into an Iran affair. The Iranian government would be all over that and use my presence to show how foreign governments are fueling the protests and not the Iranian people.

    Merrian-Webster:

Intervene: : to enter or appear as an irrelevant or extraneous feature or circumstance
