Really...that's why you don't like chik fil'a. They do quite a bit of good for the economy, mulitple service projects for the community, treat their employees incredibly well, hold to traditional values...and you don't like because they disagree with a specific lifestyle.......Really......You have now become what the world needs to get rid of. Educate yourself or vacate my planet. Thanks for playing.

Rumors; a very precarious perch.
Having dealt with rumors in the worst possible environment I figured I should comment and possibly share some experience.
A rumor not addressed by leadership quickly becomes fact due to the masses inability to give the benefit of the doubt. Therefore, leadership should address what they are doing about the rumor i.e. the impending investigation and the masses should give the leadership the benefit of the doubt or do something to help alleviate the rumor such as speaking with the leadership directly about what they can do to help.
Typically, that means doing everything you can to NOT perpetuate the rumor. Such as:
1. Confronting those who perpetuate the rumor and encouraging them to stop2. Accepting and disseminating only facts3. Seeking out the truth and ensuring its dissemination
A rumor that is accurate is no longer a rumor.
Unfortunately, about 85% of any leaders job is perception management.
Just a few thoughts. Excellent question! Thanks!

As in all things, moderation is key. Naturally, teachers should use judgement when using social media. A suggestion would be to create a page for your class and keep our personal page private.
Okay Goliad, lets play this out...
Navy buys Airport for 2.36 Mill. (or Whatever, you paid $1.00 for it)They come in, rebuild, refurbish and spend millions of dollars on the local economy. (Jets need maintenance, pilots need food etc.)The war goes away (cause they said it would)The Base closes and gets sold back to Goliad for $1 (again). All for a little "Sound of Freedom" as we call it in the military.
Goliad, being a very smart community, sets up a very small local tax, sets that money aside for future airport development and once the airfield is sold back to Goliad, they take it over and create a fantastic general aviation airpark and link it to the city's rich historical heritage. A yearly air show, a historical fly in etc. BAM! Goliad is Golden! (No, I'm not in the Navy) It would be even better if you could talk them into paying you to refurbish it, and getting started with the aipark early, so even Army Aircraft could fly in.
I'm sure CPT James W. Fannin won't mind. In fact, I think he'd be proud.
Make it happ'm Capp'm.

Very interesting Blog, as usual. I certainly feel for the Congresswoman and her family and my heart and prayers go out to them.
This raises a lot of questions that I think there are answers too that neither side wants to listen to. I would suggest starting with a few books that might give you a better understanding of why people kill. The first is "On Killing: The Psychological Cost of Learning to Kill in War and Society" by LTC (RET) Dave Grossman. Very interesting insight into the subject of this blog. Start there and if you find that your questions still are not answered I would suggest "On Combat:The Psychology and Physiology of Deadly Conflict in War and in Peace" by the same author.
Might answer some of your questions.
I would like to answer at least one question though. The answer is:Education and training, values that support your roles, fewer lawyers, fewer politicians and more real leadership, turning off the media. Apply liberally in moderation over infected area. If infection persist immediately pay too much to see a Doctor or bug the Government until they pay.

You had me..right up until I realized this wasn't a balanced article. I even made it as far as "They are radicals." After that I stopped reading, knowing it would become opinionated and based on little actual fact. Just an assumption based on limited experience.
Maybe I should have kept going. Maybe I should have read further. But I am really tired of the banter between and about political labels, most of which are businessmen and lawyers which have very little experience in military matters and science, that we elect and allow to govern "we the people". Kind of brings the phrase "shooting yourself in the foot" to mind.
Anyway, I appreciate your article and the comments posted and certainly enjoy the majority of the individuals who post here. Plus, I have to say I miss Victoria a little.
Knowing that I am using a Vacuum that has been engineered the way a Dyson has...is motivating.
Other then that..Principles. A leader must be centered in principles. "Principles are self-evident, self-validating natural laws. The don't change or shift. ...Principles apply at all times and places. ... Principles ... are objective and external." - Steven Covey
Base your leadership on Principles and it becomes very easy to do the hard right over the easy wrong even when no one is looking.
... and by your husband a Dyson if you want him to Vacuum. It literally never looses suction.
WOW! You angry bitter humans.Where to begin...
DNA is not copied without error.
DNA is your serial number, you just have to have the right glasses to read it.
Evolution has been proven in that humans adapt to their environment but I doubt very seriously that we all came from ape like creatures. See "land of Nod" Old Testiment.
Our generation of Humans may very well be close to 8000 years old but the Earth is not. It is much much older and there are things that are buried here that can explain a great deal.
But I have a better idea...lets argue and fight over something we have very few facts on! Yes! Lets even go to War over beliefs!
There is an answer, we just need to find it.
Best of luck in your searches. While you are searching, read "Finger Prints of the Gods" it will raise more questions than give you answers but it will start you in the right direction. Also, try reading all the ancient texts not just he ones fed to you by the church or similar organizations.
Here I am. A mear 3 hours from POC and unable to attend the greatest show on Earth! There is no comparison to any fireworks show I have ever seen, but thats because of the people that make POC a great place. I miss all of you!
