Going to have to side with KyleC.

The office of the President of the United States is bigger than any one human being. An office backed by the people of the United States. One Day, when "we the people" get our stuff together we will elect a great individual that will be able to bear the weight and still make the hard, right choices for which we voted them in for even if they are unpopular choices.

"We few, we band of brothers", will support the chain of command because it is in the best intrest of the people we serve; you.

No one tells a Soldier who to vote for, and a Smart Soldier will do the research prior to voting. CNN is not research, nor is Fox.

I wasn't going to post a comment because there is obviously too much discussion on this given the 80 page blog recently published and I'm really not going to read it all so you can consider this comment slightly un-educated.

Consider this, the bible is made up of historical documents. Those documents are archaeological artifacts like most ancient texts. Archaeology is a science. The theory of creation is a theory with just as much support as evolution. In order for something to evolve it must exist first.
    Just a theory.

Why not teach Archaeology? and while you're at it teach the truth about all of history.

Wow! Thank you for being so protective of my not so little brother. I have to echo the thanks from Herm. My family is truly thankful for the help of everyone that attended. One of the greatest things about the community of Victoria is that ability to rally around a member of that community in their time of need. Thank you so much to Dewayne Stanley and his family for their support. I would also like to thank the Victoria Advocate for doing this article on one of the most amazing human beings I know. Get well soon little brother!

    ALtlBrdy,
I guess Im going to have to agree with you on a few things.

"What the Film IS, is another in a long list of movies that use the same tried and true (and SUCESSFUL) formulas from hollywood."

It is exactly this, complete with that same piece of the holloywood formula of inserting politcal commentary where ever they can. So yes, you are nearly to 100% on your first comment.

Like I stated in the orginal post, the scenery alone in this movie is worth the price of admission. The movie still has political undertones and that may have been just an attempt to tie the characters into modern day situations so they are easier to connect with but there are better ways to do that and I expect better things from a director of James Cameron's Caliber.

Thanks for the comments folks but its time to move on as this is just a movie.
    Enjoy!

OMG1...you're right...Ronald Reagan was an actor and a politician. Couple things though he Majored in Economics and Sociology and he was great at public speaking. Seeing as he was noted for both of those things...I'd say the Republicans chose wisely.

    BTW...I'm not a Republican.
    Thanks for playing!

Well thank you N45BA... The whole point in this blog is to reflect the fact that I didn't over analyze it, was that blatant. I am going to side with you on this comment, "Don't be frightened by Pythagoras' ultra excessive scrutinizing of a pretty entertaining movie." Except for the "ultra excessive scrutinizing" part. It's a little..."ultra excessive" in itself but in all fairness so was this blog. Please, go see the movie but make sure your willing supsension of disbelief is running at full capacity and you'll love it. I will most likely go see it again when I return home.

Freethinker...good luck finding an actual tree hugging hippy candidate that's real. If you do, let me know I may vote for them myself.

Sorry about the delayed response. You can actually reach back as far as modern recorded history will allow. Look into Graham Hancock. He has published a few books regarding ancient Civilizations to include Myths and why each major civilization has roughly the same myths and characters to include my man Noah. Not to mention the physical evidence of their existence. It kept me interested.

Reyrey, Appreciate the invite. Might end up there anyway and if don't end up there this round about a year after I get back from this trip, I just might make it there. We'll see December 1.

It is weird! I mean what was their purpose and why are they all so similar across many different cultures? There's got to be something behind that.
