That has been a complaint in large cities as well as rural area. My Dad said he complained about it,I did, my kids did.Nature of the beast. It is not the city's responsibility to entertain kids (or adults). The cure (like many things) originates at home.I only made the mistake of telling my parents once that there was nothing to do. "I'm bored"After I mowed the lawn, cleaned the bathroom, and weeded the garden- I decided there were things to do.The next weekend my Dad did give me money to go to the movies.
Interestingly enough- from that point on, I mowed the grass without being asked or told.

Regional flight to connecting flight is normally in the price of the larger carrier. It typically will cost the same to fly to New York from Victoria as Houston. Some airlines do have a marginal fee- depending on their partnering arrangement with the smaller carrier.
Interestingly, I have concluded in my world- God created all, the bible says in six days. It does not say how long a day is in God's world. Maybe God's day is a billion years? - or a millisecond?Or is these passages from the Bible just an author's attempt to explain things that cannot be understood by man (including the author)....
The Words of the Bible are indeed a two-sided sword. On one hand, we have the author's interpretation, and translator's interpretation.Other side, we have our interpretation of what the author's writings (as presented today). While we all believe the Books of the Bible are Divinely guided, we do not know/understand God's will any more today than man did centuries ago.God did gift mankind a conscience, use the gift wisely.
I concur with JLordtree- I lived in area appx. same size as Victoria, there was a major airport about 2 hours away. Flight service is critical to growth-I agree DFW should be the hub of destination, Houston has a good choice of connecting flights, but DFW is considerable more flexibleHopefully the bidding process will produce a good carrier.I flew one to five times a week- local service was much needed. The carriers in the area offered service to DFW, Atlanta, or St. Louis.
All owners need to clearly heed to Mr. Countryman's statements. He thought he "knew" the dog, all appearances are that he was a very responsible owner.
It appears the police department did exactly what they are supposed to do.
There is no justification for willingly risk your life and others solely because it is "fun". "Nothing to do in these town" is also not qualified reason. Bit silly, but not qualified. This has been an issue with youth for many years- and it is dealt with the same way over the years. Find the culprits and deal with it accordingly. Reviewing the ages listed- it isn't a "teenager thing" instead it is doing something "cool" because some older guys are doing it.
Good work VPD, you may have saved a life or two.
It is a sad day indeed...
I was the keeper of the light many times. I mostly did a good job of shining the light right into his eyes. After doing some work on my own (with light source required), I learned how to shine the light correctly. I also learned to spot a 7/16",1/2",9/16 wrench without have to read the handle.
Put it on fluff cycle in dryer - hee hee
I knocked my phone into a sink full of soapy water. Was a few minutes before it I needed it and discovered it was missing. Re-tracked steps, etc., finally had the sinking (ok pun intended) feeling. I took covers off, battery out, hit it with blow dryer for awhile. Then had it sit in rice for two days. I had to replace the battery- now three years later- it works just fine.
