I'd rather vote for Mike Leach.

"Alvarez settled on requesting that the engineers - Austin-based Camp, Dresser and McKee - give the council a full report on its findings, analysis and selection process."

Fine with me as long as #1 the bill for this report is presented at the same time so we can find out how much this "request" will cost and #2 Alverez explains why he couldn't understand the existing reports/data.

What's this gonna cost us? At $500/ft, what is going to be the price to move the line? At most, how many people are going to be effected by the smell of "fresthly turned earth" Where were youk during the planning meetings? Too little, too late.

I've noticed that the price of something goes up as soon as it is declared the only place you can locate something you have to have.

Emett, if you are actually the council candidate, you just lost my vote. If you aren't the council candidate, you need to 'fess up.

Did you see the family do anything, Robertx? Didn't think so.

"He has recently issued an executive order which gives an "unprecedented" level of authority to the President" says the letter. This exact phrase is passed around and around the internets for years decrying everything from UN takeovers, the trilateralist takeovers, to Nazi takeovers, to ACLU takeovers, to Muslim takeovers, in fact, just about any conspiracy that bubbles up to the minds of people soft enough to parrot the nonsense they see and hear without thinking about it. What executive order was it? Don't know? Nobody else does either.

As for HR347, at least that is real, but expressly limited to government facilities and, by the debate language, seems aimed at Occupy Wall Street type activities. I don't see the Secret Service storming Victoria to take away everyone's fourth amendment rights.

I wish David Hagan could point to a single accomplishment during his reign -- a signature achievement, anything tangible would do. Without this, you could simply replace Hagan with a parrot that shriekes "NO!" at random intervals. If I follow the logic of this letter, we should be thanking burglers for improving the economy because the threat of robbery is increasing gun sales. Being against everything and anything is not an ideology, it is not good government and it demonstrates no inherent virtue.

"Victoria College's $22 bond proposal explained" says the headline. Thanks again, VA, for the chuckles.

A "common man" who just happens to own a bunch of funeral homes who believes the biggest threat to the nation is the EPA and the UN. Next.

Emett Alvarez sounds like he is going to be even more of a spend thrift. His concept of arranging a "settlement" with the seven people protesting the new sewer plant sounds like payola on a large scale.

I got nothing against Rangel. She worked the sewer plant issue within her district. To answer the question, yes, Victoria would be better off with another term.
