A dress code needs to be in place but, yeah I agree with fedup. The whole shirt tucked in and belt thing is a little much. Teens are really self concious about the way they look in their clothes and this part of the dress code can lead to teens with spicific body types to be teased. Not everyone feels comfortable walking around with the little extra hanging over their belts. Perfect example: The daughter of a friend of mine was sent home because she didn`t have a belt on. Well it ends up she knowingly didn`t wear a belt because she was afraid of being teased about the way her body looked. In this day and age who could blame her. I say the kids should be allowed to cover up what they don`t want seen. This can be done in good taste. Kids do have it a little tougher today compared to 10-20 years ago as do the secondary grade teachers, but there should be a middle ground on this portion of the dress code.

This guy CHOSE to put his family through this just as an alcoholic chooses to drink and drive. Indeed his family is the victim of a very sick mans actions, but what about the little children exploited by people like him. I would think it`s safe to say they didnt really have a CHOICE in being photgraphed or video taped by other sick people. When do you offer up prayer for them? Their is no room in society for people like this and I applaud the Federal Government for cracking down on them. He is being charged with 11 counts of child pornography, not 1. Criminals are not held without bail unless the evidence are stacked against them. Yes he will have his day in court to prove his innoncence, but what about the innoncence taken from the children? Will they ever be given the opprotunity to have their innocence returned?

I drive a car/truck and I am also a biker, like all of us that drive both we see both sides of situations like this. Bikes and cars are a bad mix. I myself have almost been hit by a car on my bike, but on the other side of the coin I`ve found myself spotting a biker in a blind spot I didn`t see at first glance while driving my car/truck. I am a trained driver and a seasoned driver at that with no accidents.( Except on my bike with another biker) The point I am trying to make is this.. No matter who you are or what you drive, the road is a dangerous place.(Any road) Add distracted drivers, inexperienced drivers, and drivers with the wrong attitude about driving.Well, situations like these are the result. Anytime I hear or read about a biker/car accident, my first thought is." Was it someone I know?" In this case it wasn`t, but thats not true for the past and surely not for the future. Next time it may be someone I know, someone you know, you yourself, or maybe even me. The lives of everyone involved in this crash are changed forever. At fault or not at fault. I`d really like to see the comments some of you would make if it were you or a loved one involved in a situation like this. It makes no matter where anyone was going, what they were wearing or what road they were on. Lives are changed here with devistating reprocussions. With all the proffessional driver training I`ve had the privlige of learning, I`ve learned one thing to be true. There are no accidents. Someone is always at fault when two vehciles crash. It`s sad but true. Driving anything on the road is a privliage and when that privliage is not given the proper respect things like this will continue to happen. Young, middle age or old. Male or female. We all have the same responsibility when we turn that key and head down the road. With that said my heart goes out to all and their family and friends involved and for those of you that don`t have the common sense or common courtsey to see this is a tragic situation...keep your stupid comments to yourself. It may be you next time.

irriated_texan is right.I retract my statement. It was somewhat misleading.A cracked LCD or plasma panel doesn`t mean it`s time for a new unit. If you have the tools, the time, access to service information, the know how and confidence. You don`t need an extended warranty or a protetction agreement. I am a professional electronics technician with 20 years experience with my own buisness in electronics repair. I myself do not buy extended warranties on TVs,computers,or any other electronic device becuase I don`t have to. For the 1% of the population like me and irritated_texan extended warranties and out of warranty repair labor cost do not apply for electronics ,but for the other 99% of the population(that has no electronics experience)I hope the information that I provided was helpful.

I`m sure that the customer would have been fine with BestBuy saying."I know you bought an extended warranty , but order the screen from Ebay and fix it yourself."
The information I provided was strictly for warranty/damage protection issues in regaurds to manufacture, retailer and customer relationships and extended warranties, not for do it yourselfers. Anything can be fixed with a little time and research but when you paid someone to handle that for you time, cost and the quality of repair are of the essence.

I own a local TV repair shop here in Victoria and I see this scenario atleast twice a week. It is true that a manufactures warranty or an extended warranty company will not cover what is call "customer abuse." Lcd and plasma display panels are so delicate that they will crack under minimal impact. The problem is that replacement display panels cost a service center more than what a new replacement unit will. I have a room in my shop full of LCD And plasma TVs that are not worth reparing due to cracked panels. It`s sad but true.. if you crack your display panel on any electronic device,it`s time for a new unit. Like Anne Clem and her $400 laptop and $80 warranty she felt comfortable with her purchace until the unit was damaged. You have to ask questions and make sure you understand the entire coverage that you purchased. As a 20 year veteran in the consumer electronics field here in Victoria I know the problems with BIG BOX retailers like BestBuy,WalMart,Sams, and Target. The kids that work there are trained to do what they do and say what they have to say to make the sale. They have very little experience in customer service in consumer electronics, and can care less whether you are there or not. You may pay a little more buying from a localy owned electronics dealer but you will see a big diffrence in honesty and customer service.BestBuy claims to offer service after the sale but here in Victoria they offer no local service on electronics. All service work is either shipped off for repair or outsourced to a third party contractor that has nothing to do with BestBuy.These processes can take weeks before your unit is returned or repaired.Local retailers like G&A Electronics,VCS,Lacks,or Kamins are often overlooked but they do offer local service after the sale. I don`t sell electronics I only do repair work so I get to see both sides of the retailer and customer relationship. Think of it this way. If you buy a new car and you have a crash and damage it,the manufactures warranty nor the extended warranty will not cover the repairs. An insurance company is responsible for the repair cost. The key words here are "WARRANTY" and "INSURANCE." Insurance starts the day you purchace the policy and the piece of equipment covered. Extended warranty starts when the first part of the manufactures warranty expires. Don`t confuse warranty with insurance. Warranty covers workmanship. Insurance covers damage. If you plan to purchase a new TV or electronics device make sure you understand these diffrences. Just a final bit of information to protect you LCD or plasma TV. Wi controllers and LCD/Plasma TVs do not mix. You have no idea how many Wi controllers damage newer TVs. Hope this information helps anyone that has recently purchased a newer type TV or who has plans to make a purchase.

No we didn`t trade our land for alcohol. It was just taken a little at a time through lies and deception. Just to paint a pictire for you Miguel.First lets kill most of your family and friends and then we will take your land and stick you somewhere where crops can`t grow and there is no game to hunt like that deer in your avatar you so proudly think you hunted, then we will take your way of life away from you and let you and what is left of your family and friends slowly starve to death.Let`s see how happy you would be. If you know your history so well you would know that the Apaches were the last to stop fighting for their land and freedom.I guess you believe the Pilgram and Indian Thanksgiving story is true too.I don`t know if you are just trying to be funny but before you make an insulting ,ignorant comment know your history Miguel beacause Victoria and Goliad were settled on Apache Homeland and there are still some of us around.Get some books and read about us. You may learn something about the true Apache that once ruled this land. The Apache was feared for a reason. APACHE means enemy. You were not going to get our land, freedom or weapons for wiskey.
