Don't fix it if it ain't broken. I am a bit saddened by all of this. FB, in my opinion is not the coattails you want to grab and go for a ride. My small contributions to the Advocate and its readers will serve as a reminder that we need to continue working to achieve what we all want: our country back, good neighbors, good schools, peace, and happiness. I will not subject my blogs to scrutiny by the FB subscribers. Thanks to all of you who participated in my forums.

My reference to "people of color" refers to Latinos and African Americans as has been made public by the media. In order to reverse and end the purging, the Voters Rights Act has to be enforced. It is a pity that we have to legislate the right to vote due to the maliciousness of those that are responsible for voting obstacle, i.e., poll taxes, ID laws, etc. But I am sure you are familiar with all of this.
I make reference to what is taking place in Florida. The governor is still attempting to purge more folks who have voted for decades off the voter data base until they can prove they are a citizen. Targeted so far are the elderly and people of color. It has been all over the media in case anyone missed it. To me that is slamming the door in someone's face. There isn't any justification for purging people off the voter rolls unless you are attempting to disenfranchise them.
Hispanic voters are as informed as all other voters. Would you vote for the party that continuously slams the door in your face, profiles you, calls you a dog, attempts to purge from voter lists, always wants to know if you are legal, places you in a generic category whether you have legal status or not, and now wants your vote?
You are missing the point. That was not my intent. I never said that the Demo do not have Super Pacs. It is the working class that will be destroyed by the Republicans as they are attempting in Wisconsin, Indiana, etc. I will not try to convince you otherwise. Just keep in mind that some of your neighbors, friends, and perhaps family members will be negatively impacted.
@jpuente. Great photo. He has not acted like his father. I have a tendency to believe that the military is the machine running the country. We have a puppet dictator (so far).
I am overjoyed that we are having multiple topics as we go from one to another. I would hope that it may brings us to realize that in most cases we are not that far apart on what we want for this country and for our children, etc. I can see us having a civil round table discussion. We must agree to disagree and still respect one another. This nation was not built on one belief but on the premise that we are independent thinkers in making the U.S. a greater nation. I wish congress would give this an honest attempt.
@Writein. You know as well as I do that it is getting more difficult to find people that are truthful and can discuss issues in a rational manner. What is also disturbing is that many spout off without knowing the facts and they are so inflexible in their ways of thinking and the way they see things. Folks are entitled to their own opinions but they should also respect others as well. That is precisely what is wrong with our society today, we can play with words to skirt and disguise the real issues and the more we do this, the less likely the truth will ever be told. I am, as you can assume, comfortable with who I am and I believe that my line of thought and my personal philosophy is in tune with the majority in this country. Curiously enough, I find it rather odd that someone would take a cheap shot at me on some other site. Fear, ignorance, or both.
Jed Bush would be an ideal candidate for VP, however, I am not sure he wants to be second in command and in a thankless job. I would say he is looking towards the White House in the next 4-8 years.
Romney is the presumptive winner at this point having no other viable candidates. If Romney is to galvanize the GOP, he should pick a Southern Republican. And in reply to vet43, I have not heard Rubio speak of the current policy as applies to Cuban refugees.
