So what your saying is that just because the workers down here are not covered by a union, their labors are not worth as much as those that are? I am in no way a fan of unions, however I will NOT accept that my labors, or anyone else's for that fact, are only worth $10/hr when people up north are getting $20/hr. And as far as the workers being "limited skilled," wont the education at VC take care of that problem, thereby making them "skilled" workers? Is that not what this bond request is for? If they are only going to pay meager wages, let the company foot the bill for the training of their workforce. I, for one, am tired of paying for this type of stuff and having absolutely no return on investment for me.
Ya, Catapillar put us on the map all right. By building a huge assembly plant in a place where they can get cheap labor. Those assembly jobs pay almost $20/ hr up north, but here they are barely paying half that. So how does it make sense to go to college and put yourself in debt to prepare for a career that has about as much earning potential as working at taco bell?
How is it not? There is nothing anymore special about that case than any other. I submit to you that a murder is a murder, regardless of the color of skin.
What about every other person that dies by the hand of fellow man on a daily basis? Are they not just as important as young Treyvon was? Is their life not worth as much? Where are the protests, the bounties, the talking heads when it comes to them? A young man lost his life and that is tragic! Be that as it may, it's no more tragic than any other murder that takes place. Stop over dramaticizing the case. The media made this into a racial issue, which is THE ONLY REASON ANYBODY CARES! No one wants to be labeled a racist, so everybody weighs in. I think it is absolutely ridiculous!
That has got to be the most one sided article in the world. Everyone thinks they know that case better than the cops and prosecutors that were actually a part of the investigation. There is absolutely no chance for a fair and impartial trial for that man, the entire country has been polluted and ruined as a jury pool. He is already convicted of this in the court of public opinion, so he's done for in court. Might as well save the tax payers some money and string him up in a Cypress tree. Why don't y'all leave the charging and the justice to those that are familiar with the case. And by familiar I don't mean watching CNN or FOX or BET or the Victoria Advocate.
Really????????This is what they are upset about? This was a complete waste of written words. There is no valid complaint here. What a joke. Hire "LEGAL AMERICAN CITIZENS" or people with valid work visas and there is no issue. What a joke!
And this is why ATV's and the like have skyrocketed in price over the years. I have owned/operated these machines in various forms for years, and I have never found them to be defective or overly dangerous if the operator uses some common sense and obtains proper operations training. I dont care how "flat" the terrain is, all of these vehicles are top heavy, and will consequently roll over if the operator attempts to change directions too quickly.
Personaly responsibility. Learn it, live it, embrace it America! Can't blame the company for operator error.
Sometimes Change is a good thing.
