"Thanks for the info, brookstone. As I said, I don't have any children in school, so I don't have first-hand knowledge of just how things are today in public education. What a change from the way we (I) learned! Do you think that it will ever get better, or have we started down a road that shouldn't be traveled? Can the damage be undone, or at least stopped in its tracks for future students; i.e., do away with the TAKS and get back to teaching basics, then having tests as you suggested (the old IOWA, etc.)? Thanks again!"
