    Born2Bme,

I am not missing the point. Let's look at the economy as a swimming pool full of water. At one end the government takes and dips out a gallon of water. This gallon is then poured into two half gallon buckets belonging to two government workers. While it is being poured, some gets spilled. Then the two workers take the two half gallon buckets and walk to the other end of the pool spilling and sloshing some of the water as they go. When they reach the other end of the pool, they pour the water back into the pool. They return back to the other end and the government again removes a gallon of water and pours it into the two buckets. The workers return to the other end and again dump the water back into the pool (economy). The government keeps trying to convince us that if we keep doing this, the pool will overflow with water. IT JUST DOES NOT WORK! While there are a limited number of government jobs needed to perform nation needed services such as defense, mail, and such, these are not money makers, they are expenses. Much like repairing the brakes on your car is a required service for your safety, it did not make you money, it cost you money.

Businesses produce a profit which pays the shareholders (people) and pays the worker's a wage. The business will not survive unless it does both. Government jobs do NOT produce a profit. They do not pay for the cost of the worker. Taxpayers pay the total bill. The government job does not have to worry about how much the cost, it just takes more from the taxpayers. The only government job that should produce a profit is the post office, but because it is run like a government job, it too looses money. Obama has never worked in the private sector. All of his jobs have been non profit producing positions. If fact, only 10 percent of his administration has ever held a private sector job. Again, building bridges and roads does not create jobs. They take money from a job that does produce income. These types of things are expenses, not profits. Obama is following a socialist model and I don't want to live under socialism. Why? Because I have been producing a profit, not living off of someone else. So yes... I support Romney. He has worked a real job and he has presided over companies that have produced profits and paid workers. While he is not the one I would have chosen to lead the nation, he is clearly the best gamble for the next four years. Obama has proven he is not the one, so he does not need 4 more years. If Romney fails the same way, he will only get 4 years as well. While Obama supporters would eat the tootsie rolls found in their kitty litter boxes if Obama told them too, some of us will not be mislead.

With the good things come bad things. What they don't tell you is the meters can change water rates due to time of day or usage. So when it is time to water your grass or take showers, the water may cost more. While the comment would probably be made that the city does not plan to use these features, one usually finds it will eventually be used the next time the city wants more money.

    Writein,

The first paragraph of your article stunned me. So to the point and so true. The average American man is a now latte drinking woosie. Most of the commercials on TV show the man as a woosie and the woman as the stable anchor. As to an answer, I see it as one God, one Savior, one MAN and one WOMAN which follow the family instructions given by God. But mankind has now decided he knows more than God and can do things better. As long as we follow man's plan, the family will fail. The evidence is all around us.

I am still trying to figure out how this became a race thing other that almost everything sold at Walmart is produced in China and the Walmart corporation requires anyone that sells to them have a certain percentage of their merchandise produced in China or they won't do business. Oh well, I at least found out that I am Riff Raff what ever the heck that is. Is that another political party? LOL

Facebook has been very good to me. It is the number one source of downloading viruses and Trojans into business networks and I make a lot of money due to that. As one poster has commented, I dun got me an edumication, so I don't have a Facebook account. My computer is a major component in my business. Also, Facebook makes their money selling your information and employers are now requiring access to read what you post. If my boss were a die hard democrat, I would be in trouble. For most, if your boss were non democrat...well you see how it works. It has been fun being one of the few non-liberals to post here at the Advocate.

My point was missed completely. The president should not have absolute power. He has been doing so with executive orders. Bypassing congress and the checks and balances. Don't make this a white thing black thing. Don't make it a Democrat thing or Republican thing. His ability to execute a law giving him absolute control (martial law) over everything is the US is dangerous and he gave himself that power. It can be ordered in time of peace. Again, look up the order for yourself.

A line in the article says "It also bypasses Congress". Hello?? Anybody out there? Do we now have a dictator? Is anyone concerned Obama has self passed a bill allowing him to take possession of all resources, food, water, and personal possessions such as your car and that decision takes place at his command? Don't take my word for it, do the research. This is not a Democrat or Republican thing. It is a assumption of absolute control.

When I heard about the fire, I figured that was the end. I enjoyed the food especially the liver and onions. Most places won't serve liver. They also were one of the only places to get pies, I mean the kind without nasty 5 inch high white stuff on top. They had the lowest price as well and you could actually talk to people at your table. I guess we still have GC were everything tastes the same. I will give the pizza place a chance. I still miss Incredible. From Mammy's, to Luby's, to Wyatt's, and now Furrs, they are all but a memory.
