Unless they built it since Sunday morning - there isn't an overpass over Airline.

One day - each of us will find out for sure whether the Bible is the true Word of God. Each of us has to decide whether we want to live like it isn't and then find out He wasn't kidding.
I do agree - Chrisitans need to speak up on the issues - we need to go the poles and support and elect candidates that believe in our Christian values and will support those values in their elected position. This is no different than any other person who has their beliefs that they want all people to accept and live by.
Your statement about condemning without a chance to reflect and repent would be true if they were taken direct from the court room to execution. Fact is it takes years and years to finally carry out the sentence. If the the person repents and truly accepts Jesus as his savior, that person can be saved from hell. But if the person is given life without parole - and never repents - they will be lost forever.
This seems to be the way to govern now - politicians threaten "this or that" so that "we the people" will cry loud enough that the threatening politician gets their way. I bet if the so called budget cuts were going to to impact the elected officials they wouldn't be on TV, but would be in the chambers fixing the problem.
At some point you would think our President would stop traveling and stay in Washington - sit down face to face with the people that can change things - and get something done. Seems he is still campaigning!
When political correctness overrules common sense - this happens. I believe the more we try to make America perfect for everyone - the less perfect - more confused - and less exceptional we become.
Merle Haggard said it well -
Drinking that free bubble-up and eating that rainbow stew.
America will become what we as citizens and voters allow it to become.
I am not fully convinced that having his picture on the cover of TIME makes the decision to send additional arms to Eygpt the right decision. It is my understanding that this arms deal was made with the previous leader of Eygpt - maybe we should wait to see how the new leader will lead before we complete the transaction.
Now that the election is over - shouldn't we be talking to the representation that we elected - encouraging them to find a solution to all the problems. Seems all we have managed to do is set ourselves up for four more years of stale mate!
