Debunker... I can see what you are saying.....but as I am one of the residents I read it differently.

Debunker.... You might want to check your facts. A house on Taos was burglarized during the Christmas holiday. My home AND vehicles have both been broken into and my bicycle was taken out ofo my backyard as well. My neighbor had a welding rig stolen right out of his front yard! There have been numerous incidents in the neighborhood. In fact, the Victoria Advocate online was how I found out about the house on Taos since we were out of town. The Advocate and the headline was correct. It has struck close to home and we are ALL taken precautions.

I live in the neighborhood that this happened in. We have an alarm on our home and use it all of the time. There is expense involved, but to me it is well worth the cost. We installed it to protect our children. Now we have to use it to protect our property as well. I sure hope that they catch the creeps who are doing this.
JLord....um that is what I think said.... That the sign is in question... Never once did I say anything bad about Hidden Pleasures. In fact I did say that they have been around for years!
Hidden Pleasures is right in the middle of town. Down the street from schools and churches. Have any of you been in there to see their private room? I don't believe that the business is the issue here. It is the sign that announces the availability of said porn. Hidden Pleasures not announce to God and everyone driving down Mockingbird what is inside of the shop. Yet they too have been around for years!
This is an amazing story and we have made notes of three of the mentioned movies to watch. You need to publish more stories like this one in the future~!BTW... The Room! HA! Saw it and I have to say, everyone needs to watch this one at least once in their lifetime.
Only GOD knows that anwer
When i read about the book sale at the library, I thought to myself "Nah, I can get them cheap at Amazon". I don't think that book will ever go out of style simply because there will be those who 1. prefer to hold it in their hands and turn actual pages and 2. Not everyone will have an e-reader. It will save a few trees though!
I agree with 29way wholeheartedly. I have also been involved with TV since 1992. I have worked under numerous directors and with many very talented actor/actresses. To say that they are a small minded group of people is insulting to every one of them. I never worked with Charles Moster so I have no opinions about him personally, but I felt and saw the change in TV in recent months. Volunteerism was way down as was moral. I have heard that there were many reasons for this, the first being that it was just no longer fun.
I would hate to know that you didn't return for this reason as I too saw your performance and I think that you would be a great addition to the theater volunteer base.
This was not a witch hunt. It was a way to correct a wrong. Theater Victoria (aka Victoria Community Theater) will continue whether under the direction of Charles Moster or future directors. It is always changing and evolving and will continue to do so.
