Thanks for reading. Becky Cooper is our local editor and Tom Martinez is our managing editor. They are often copied on communication to make sure it gets to the right person in the newsroom.

The story does not say the grand opening was the first performance in the center. The two were the first inducted into the VISD Education Foundation Hall of Honor.
Thanks for reading.
Robwert and Pat,
The correct cost for the sidewalks is $42,492.53. The previous number was a misprint. We've printed a correction as is our usual process.
The center was built by the school district, but is a public building and available for use by the community. The district does have final discretion of who can use it.
Thanks for reading the story.
The coin designed pictured is not the old one. It's the new design by Lopez Jr.
That's my mistake. We're getting it corrected. I apologize for the late response.
This is Erica Rodriguez. I'm the new education reporter with the Advocate. Would anyone be willing to share a copy of their letter with me?

Thank you both. It really has been a pleasure.

I was the reporter on the scene of the arrest. When the trooper stopped Victor M. Villagomez he found signs of criminal activity and Villagomez consented to a search of his vehicle. The troopers then located 63 pounds of marijuana. The man was then arrested and stood as troopers continued to search the vehicle.
