roberttx- They might be making about $10 per hour to make these machines but you must look at the large benefits package that goes along with the job. That alone is worth about half their wages or more. A man with a family will opt for less pay for a better benefits package. I know having my family covered is very important to me. Think about it. Would you rather have a job at $10 per hour and a full benefits pack or a job that pays $15 an hour and have to pay $400+ a month for insurance?
Years ago the same thing happened to a radio show contestant. The game was to see who could drink the most water in the shortest amount of time. The lady that played died of water poisioning. Proof the too much of a good thing can kill you. RIP Concho Man! Let this event serve as a warning to the other canoe paddlers. Be carefull of how much water you drink in "X" amount of time.
You show me a rock band, country band, jazz band or a tejano band without a drummer and I will show you a bluegrass band. The drummer is the time keeper for the band. I've played drums professionally since 1979 and loved every second of it. Have fun playing drums. They are a great stress release.
I was attacked in 2005 while operating a bulldozer. I cut a pile of brush in half and from the corner of my eye I saw a dark shadow that turned out to be the attack formation of the killer bees. They hit me like a wet blanket. I ran to my car 300-400 yrds away. About 50-75 bees were with me when I got to my car. I got to the hospital and they counted about 250-300 stings on my head & neck alone and about 100-150 on my back and sholders. They pumped me full of benadryl and sent me home. Hurt like well .........the opposite of heaven. Did not make the paper but I never went back to that dozer that was not protected from the elements. (no cab)
Markkrueger- I think you are wrong about 87 from Nursery to Victoria. That area needs to be increased to 80 mph from the flashing light in Nursery to the light at West High School. I travel that road every day and 50% of the cars are passing me while I am doing 70mph. It is a 5 lane highway and safe. Accidents will happen to people that are not paying attention. It does not matter which road they are on or how fast they are going.
