"The U.S. using torture is an invitation for other countries to torture our soldiers."

True and I agree we should just behead those suspected of wrong doing as they behead our people.

    "Our FBI refuses to torture"
I am sure they let you in on every thing they do and since they are part of our government we know they would not lie to us.

No longer a resident in Victoria I will say that your #7 worked hard at rallying the team and the spectators at the game last night. The young man wearing the #34 was the only player that I saw ringing the bells of the opposing team. Not saying the other players were not doing their job but #34 was playing old school football. The officials and the time keeper on the other hand were less than spectacular. At the end of the first half I thought they had enacted a new rule in high school football that required the clock to stop running in the last sixty seconds of the game. The clock was stopped with thirty one second left to play, the Hornets trailing the Vipers. The Hornets ran a play and when I looked back at the clock it still had thirty one seconds left on it. A running play with the runner tackled inbounds without a first down and the clocked stopped. In the second half with the Hornets ahead the clock continued to run. With several really questionable calls from the officials against the Vipers it seemed the crowed tired of it and started to boo. Was I the only one that noticed the sudden increase in penalties against the Vipers after that? It was sad to see the Vipers lose their last game and even sadder to hear the school song. Hopefully something with more bite will be chosen for the new school songs and the band will be allowed to play loud and proud. It should also be mentioned that the number of followers of the Vipers were just about equal to the number of home team fans.

From what I understand the young ladies in the Victoriadores raise the funds for all of their equipment and uniforms. The acceptable sports on the other hand are funded by tax dollars. All are required to maintain good grades to participate in the activities of their choice.
As far as having every girl, allowed to perform on the field, why? If you have not bothered to endure the years of practice required to get to the point where your National Champions are, why should you be allowed to parade around on the field ? Perhaps we could also allow every guy that shows up at a football game to suit up and run a few plays. It's not like they need to know what the plays are, right? There is no need to know the dance steps or even how to stretch your muscles to the point where you can point one leg at the ground and the other straight up at the sky.
I heard the problem is the young gun that was recently put in charge of these activities has decided that the eight time National Champion Victoriadores take away from the mediocre band performance.
I was at the football game last night and have to tell you, on the other side of the field, the question asked when the band was on the field was "Are they playing". It was late in the game before they actually stood up and began to attempt to rally the team with playing one could hear. I do not blame the band after all the school song is appropriate for a funeral.
I see the question " What is wrong with Victoria" asked repeatedly on this blog. Well look at what we do with the champions, listen to the school song, if you can get close enough to the band to hear it.
It is no wonder most students pack up and leave town shortly after they graduate from school.
