    Robert Rivera Ojeda and Alfredo Serna will be performing at the Opening Reception of "A Photographic Journey Along El Caminio Real" in the Doughterty Room of the Barnhart Library in Beeville on Thursday, April 19, 2012 beginning at 5:30 pm ~ Speakers at this event will also include photographer, Christopher Talbot; Steven Gonzales, Executive Director, El Camino Real de los Tejas NHT Association; and Gary Dunnam, El Camino Real de los Tejas Board Member and well known Victoria historian. Popular Spanish and English songs from early Texas will be sung by balladeer and songwriter, Robert Rivera Ojeda who will be accompanied by accordionist Alfredo Serna.

    So glad to have attended this event. In addition to Elizabeth Ames Jones, Chairperson of the Texas Railroad Commission, there was an informative presentation by Brent Halldorson, P.Eng,, Chief Operating Officer, Fountain Quail WATER MANAGEMENT.     I recently received a copy of the "Desiderata" from a friend, but noticed that the next to the last phrase had been changed from "be cheerful" to "be careful" ...
