Glad the shoes worked out for you. Keep hitting the pavement!

Good luck with all your races!

I love Brooks shoes. I did Asics for awhile, but last years' 2140 did a number on my knees. So now I run in Brooks Ravenna (they make them for men and women. I need guidance cause I overpronate.) I always suggest going to a running store or figuring out what kind of shoe you need online. But the Ravenna is great if you overpronate and you run short distances. If you run longer distances and overpronate the brooks Adrenaline is the better shoe.

Thanks for the suggestion. I do have a profile on Runner's World, but I rarely, if ever blog on there.

So when it comes to long runs. I run up and down Sam Houston then to the Airline trail. That can be anywhere between 7-10 miles. I'd see if you can find any routes around town on mapmyrun.com.

I love Runner's World! For getting back to running, I always suggest a running/walking program to start off with unless you are always doing cardio already. In about 6 months, you could be back to running 3 miles a couple of times a week. Plus, I always suggest going to running store to get fitted shoes. Thanks so much for reading my blog! Any other question you can always email me or comment on the blog!

Thanks for the question Alton, I'm looking into the difference between running shoes and other exercise shoes and doing some research.
