NO! It's NOT worth it! I already did my school shopping for my two kids in Houston. MAINLY because they have AMAZING thrift stores there near the downtown area that are such wonderful steals you almost feel guilty doing it....lol...you couldn't IMAGINE all the kids clothes that I got that were very nice quality NAME BRANDS that sill had TAGS on them for a few dollars each. I don't think I spent more than $5 bucks on any one item and that includes blue jeans :) Very proud of myself indeed!

I really want to shop locally... BUT, the variety here is so lacking and our goodwill and resale shops just don't compare. And at this time in my life with the economy the way it is. I HAVE to get things as cheap as I can. I'm sure MANY can agree! I will however be buying school supplies in Vic...So, I'm contributing to some degree ;)

@ Dude - I agree! I have a neighbor that lives across and to the right of me a bit and it's such an eye sore to look out my front windows and see WEEDS 10+ FT high! The city comes out, but he never does anything about it. It's gotten so bad, that you really can't even see a house there anymore..LOL... what LAZINESS!!!

And the neighbors that live beside him say the back yard is like a jungle!!! You cant even walk back there if you tried....

We have called on him SO MANY TIMES that the city literally says, really you can stop calling on him. We already have so many files open on him that adding more really doesn't make a difference...LOL

YES MONEYMAN! Let's hope so! There can truly be some MAJOR ignorance within these online thread and polls.

Although for the moment my family does quite well financially, it can ALL change in an instance. My husband and I are SO VERY GRATEFUL! I voted YES, because if we are going to BLEED uncontrollably somewhere within the government it mine as well bleed where we need it the most! Taking care of those who REALLY DESERVE IT.... The AVERAGE JOE! The family who's just TRYING desperately to make it another day.

I went to school with Hector and his older brother Eugene was graduating my freshman year. Hector was ALWAYS VERY SWEET and KIND to everyone. VERY SMART and didn't really get in any real trouble that I knew of. ALSO, very easy on the eyes, might I say! His brother, Eugene I didn't know so well, but seemed OK. And I didn't really know his younger brother that got murdered. I know that it all started over a fight and that's a shame. This world is really going to the pits and very fast.

Smaller towns are SUPPOSED to be safe, so we always heard/hear. Well, that is no longer it seems. More and more you hear of these horrible acts in many small towns all over the U.S.

I pray for the Gamez family. Regardless of them being in prison and bad choices in general, NO ONE deserves to be shot like that. Especially when their younger brother/ child is still fresh in the ground.

@ Cowboy, I hope they ROT in jail too! That goes for anyone who makes the CHOICE to do such hanis crimes. And that is MY RIGHT to feel that way!

BTW- LIZA! It's "Their" instead of THERE...when in reference to a person or persons it's THEIR!

    Common mistake!

OHHHHH, OKKKKK!!!! I didn't know I was CHEERING so much as expressing my opinion! But, def not sad they are gone! My point WAS that in GENERAL there are WAY TOO MANY clothing stores that CATER to 0-10 sizes! An average WOMAN wears a 14! Me being a 12! SOMETIMES 14 if the material doesn't fit right! SORRY, unfortunately I do not feel sorry for any employment lost at GAP! There are MANY more tiny people clothing stores for them to work at! ;)

And YES, darn straight I will say something about $40-$50 dollar jeans FOR KIDS!!!!! At that cost, can you blame them for going out of business! NO "CHAIN" store should have clothing for kids that costs as much as GAP charges! JMO!!!!!!
