I think JGR gave in to the money$. And as they say in racing " speed costs, how fast do you want to go?" Toyota did have a favorable outing in the truck series, so maybe they just need a better team to continue to develop their product. Toyota seemed to find a lot of horsepower at Talledaga all of a sudden. As far as Stewart dominating, that seems like a real long shot. Do you always bet against the odds? I think the Hendrick boys are going to run away with it next year. ( I know, I take the easy odds) Three of the top drivers and crew chiefs, at this time it seems impossible to beat. So, ask me a year from now...

As far as the Teresa/Dale Jr. battle this year, I was pleased to see that Dale Jr. took the high road and actually defended the wicked step mother when the press was about to pounce on her over the whole situation. I was also pleased to see a rival team give Jr. the 88 number, which shows more class than Teresa will ever have. Since Dale took the high road, so will I (so I won't call her a low down, dirty, vindictive, selfesh, money grubbing, #*%#*.)As far as the car, well, put an engine in the car that will finish the race, and paint it whatever color you want. Â
Jeff Gordon is a wuss. A fast one, but still...Before all of these open wheel racers started coming over, he was the furthest you could get from being a redneck, so he has always been the guy to pick on. I admit he has claimed his place in Nascar history already, but someone has to be the runt of the sport. I have only been to the races in Texas, but the crowd definitely lets him know that they support everyone BUT him. Now Dale Jr. on the other hand is a hero, win or lose.(driving a car with Budweiser all over it helps, not to many fans getting smashed on Pepsi)I guess this is a sport where the "clean cut" good guy doesn't win everything. And yes, he is a whiner and a crybaby, but then so are the Busch boys. When can we pick on the Busch boys?
Look at the bright side, Ashley Judd will be at the races now.
They did better than I thought they would. And your right, they do have the $$ to put into the sport.
I hope Junior can leave all of the drama behind at DEI and have a decent year with Hendrick. Sunday was a real disappointment with the engine letting go AGAIN, while he was running so strong. I guess Teresa bought the "low bid" engines this year.I'm leaving the Stewart fan club and going back with Junior. ( I guess JGR didn't notice all of the "unqualified" Toyotas sitting around this year)How about you? You staying with the driver? or the Chevy's?
