Hi Guys, thanks for reading. Rev. Hundley has been clean and sober for more than two decades. It seems his old life is far behind him. Hope that helps.

Hey, TXWader :) We got you on that point. That's why we're giving anything over 1000 to Victoria-based Kidz Connection. So, this has the potential to make an impact on Victoria kids. If you're looking for a chance to help locally, you definitely can! And I encourage you to come be a part of this!

And, remember, it's never a shame to give. There's good work to do here, and abroad, and sometimes people are called in different directions, you know?

Hi, Justataxpayer! To answer your question, when we get 1000 pairs of shoes, they will be shipped to Palmer's church in Arizona, where they'll be placed with another large shipment already slated for shipment to Africa in March. Then, this summer, Palmer will lead a team of people to Africa, where they'll distribute the shoes to the village families. He'll talk about that at the event on Feb. 27. If you want to meet up with the team and go with him when they deliver the shoes, I would highly encourage you do so. It's a life-changing experience even to visit. I can imagine participating in the shoe delivery would be indescribable.

We aren't really accepting monetary donations because we wanted this to be a charity drive that anyone could participate in without having to give financially. But if you feel compelled to raise money, I'm sure it can be put to use somewhere! I think the best way to approach that would be to bring your donation to Barefoot Sunday. Palmer would have the resources available to point you in the right direction, and he could tell you how those types of donations are handled. Thanks for your willingness to help, and I hope to see you there!

But more than anything, bring us some used shoes, :-)

You're a brave woman, and delight to know, girl. Thanks for sharing this horrific experience with the world. It does happen, we should talk about it, and we need heroes like you leading the way. Great job!
