There is a problem with dropping the charges down to disorderly conduct. Everything done that night was illegal and there should be no charges against the youths. All of their rights were violated. Now the parents need to stand up to this. The parent of one youth was told that night that "we are going to make an example of your son."
There are actually a total of 3 registered sex offenders on that block. The other two are a couple living next door. I'm not surprised Brumby won't do anything. After all, he is the same one who hired the former director of the Victoria College Police Academy as his deputy a couple of weeks ago. He was fired from there a few years ago for inappropriate conduct with one of his students. Feel safer now?
Good, now why don't you do something about the sheriff hiring Bryan Williamson, who was escorted out of his class he was teaching at the Victoria Police Academy a few years ago by Victoria County officers and fired. What a great example to be hiring here now. Another dubious choice, Brumby!
I bet if Councilman Bochat's wife was in an accident in an area of the county that wasn't going to get coverage because the city's call to not serve it, he would change his mind. P.S: Why doesn't the fire chief use his "slush fund" money that most people don't know about? He keeps alot of equipment and money squirreled away and doesn't let most people on to it.
Meeting won't accomplish anything. Too many egos in one room all trying to outdo each other.
Pardon me. By the way, how many of you know that evidence appears to be missing from the recent meth bust at Coleto Creek? We have tried to speak up here at the SO but have been told to be quiet. Hate to see the bad guys get off on a technicality due a deputy pinching some of the product. Alot of denying already going on here.
CHAMBER? WHAT CHAMBER OF COMMERCE? That place is the biggest "click" of folks who never want to see things change and would rather run politics from there. No wonder businesses don't want to join and it is the same elitist bistros and junk stores that try to pass themselves off as antique stores. Don't even bother coming to Market Days, as it will be too hot and again, the same old vendors peddling the same crap each month. Hey chamber, learn to think outside the box for a change!
OMG!!! You don't see what we see here at the office. Yeah we are glad they are caught, but it is only because of the person that called it in. Hell, we aren't even handling the case, DPS is taking the ball and running with it. Maybe something will actually happen. Don't forget, we still have a rapist on the loose. The deputies are too busy goofing off here at the office. The latest joke is: how is the Titanic and the Brumby administration alike? Both sank on their maiden voyage! It would be nice to see a full staff around here. Especially a happy one. Nobody else has the guts to speak out.
Seems funny Baiamonte seems to be defending the ethical actions in the paper, but at the meeting in question, he was scolding them saying it was not right. Change of heart? Also, how many of you know he made $70,000 for legal fees from the water conservation district. This is a 2nd taxing entity that we pay taxes for. How much more is this drunk gonna rip us off for? Yet, a local woman needed quick legal advise recently for him to look at a one page document and he blew her off saying he didn't have time. I guess it wasn't it wasn't enough time to bill her for.
