What an awesome post! I have always loved horses, too, but being raised as a city girl, never had one. You make me wish I did have one... (but I don't, because there *is* a lot of work to go along with the fun... LOL). :D
countrygurl01: Yes, I called. They're always reported more quickly than I can call in. :) VEC is pretty quick about getting it back up (better than some of my prior providers), but it's just frustrating to know that it goes out every single day. Just a little rant. :D
Rebecca, I'm sure from time to time, I'll mention what all I do in passing... but the post in question was basically an outright: I have started *this* and please visit my site if you're interested. It didn't just whisper, it screamed advertising. (Embarrassed smile emoticon goes here). As I told one of my commenters, it just didn't occur to me that since I was posting on the newspaper's site, that might not be allowed. Sigh... I'll call it a blonde moment... LOL!
I never did schedule a park day last week, and the weather's been so unpredictable that I'm just not sure when to try for. :D But hopefully we'll just set a date and do a Park Day soon... these kiddos have cabin fever!!! :D Are you wanting to get out and about? We need to plan something, too, so we can take a look at your website like we'd talked about a while back...
Dreaming of days at the beach again... :D Maybe we should do like you suggested and plan a beach day instead of a park day????
KCi... my momma always taught me, two wrongs don't make a right. :) I don't know how she gets away with it, but I would guess that she has permission from VicAd staff, due to the advertising dollars that go to the paper, or she writes her blog in such a way that it skirts the terms and conditions. I don't, and I didn't. Either way, I don't wish to violate the terms & conditions, nor do I wish to have people who read my blog doubt my purpose for blogging on this site, so I removed my posting. There are links to my other blogs on here (and will be again), where I am free to talk about what (all) I do, so I have no worries that if someone's interested, they'll figure it out eventually. In the meantime, this blog is mostly about blended families, homeschooling, and local activities... so as EdithAnn suggested, I'll get back to writing about that! :D
Thank you so much for the kind words... Your advice is great!!! All of it! I'm sure things will be okay here soon... going to try to talk to hubby today and see if we can figure some things out... when he gets up from his nap. :-)
Even on the best days, it's tough. But it is so worth it in the end. :)
LocalGirl... I hear you! I'm trying to restructure pricing for our area... and I know I'd run specials quite a bit, but this type of photography is always a bit higher than your average family photos, due to everything that goes into it (hair, makeup, wardrobe, etc.). Thanks so much for the input!
OK, I tried to respond... but it went off into cyberspace. :) I've fixed the link now to go directly to the website as it defaults, so hopefully it can be seen now. :D The photographer always works with your comfort level... if you get to her website, you'll see that there are varying degrees for sure. Although I'm not all that conservative myself, I do understand your point. :D I just LOVE these types of photos... they are sexy, empowering, and just beautiful!!! But that's just my opinion, and it's exactly why I'm asking for others... :D
I sincerely hope she recovers quickly!! My heart goes out to her and her family.
As for the comments here, I agree wholeheartedly with N45BA. :)

I haven't had burgers from a couple of places on the list, but from those I have tried, I have to agree. I LOVE Rosebud's burgers! :)
