I dont think that the coach meant she didnt care that they lost. I think she was responding to a question Mr. Brubaker had asked her about losing to a state ranked team. Without hearing the question sometimes the answers can appear misleading. I dont think any coach would ever say they dont care about losing, the highs of winning is what they become coaches for.

I agree with your comments on Tejas. The waitstaff is rude and lacking. The food is half of what it should be. The only bright spot recently is they accomodated a very big party for us recently but thats about it. I dont like to go there at all.

There was club ball here before the lady dynamites. I was on the first club team started here in 99-00, we didnt start a big organization like she has, but we were the first traveling volleyball club team in the city. Valenzuela started the first lady dynamyte team about 2 years later when her younger daughter started playing in high school. Our club ball team ceased to exist when all of us who were on the first team as freshman graduated, and therefore the lady dynamyte empire is still thriving. Just wanted to clear that up. I believe our club team name was victorias secret, and we won a few tournaments that we went to! Club ball is an aswesome advantage to those wanting to be seen by scouts and those strong enough to play in college and is very much fun, and its awesome to have it still going strong here in victoria.

Actually, I used to coach volleyball and I played in high school and college. I respected all of my coaches and the way they taught me, but never once did I relate to them in anyway, they were simply my coaches and very good ones at that. I agree that kids have to believe in the program, so build a good program with strong coaching and a good record, and the players will come running. Either way, I was simply saying, not arguing with whomever reads these comments, that the new coach is going to be a great asset to the school, and with his knowledge and skills will advance that program to new heights.

I didnt mean old as in age.. I meant old as in the coach before him.. and I am aware that she does club ball. This new coach has a lot of knowledge and experience...he should be a great addition to st joe, volleyball isnt about relating to the coach, its about playing the game.
