I recall someone telling me recently about an administrator being bitten by a student, at another elementary school in Victoria, and having to receive a tetanus shot and medical attention. Come on parents...instill some discipline in your children while you still can!
As far as I'm concerned, if a person is too lazy, unmotivated or stupid to get a photo ID...they shouldn't be voting. There simply is no logical or rational reason not to require photo identification to vote.
Resolutions are a nice start but it is not enough. I too am thankful to see the district realizes what is ahead. If something isn't done, Mr Svetlik's vision of "a train wreck coming" is likely to be eerily accurate.
When you start hiring people based on their appearance or how athletic they are, you stand the very real risk of leaving great employees on the hiring table. Being overweight is not a healthy choice, but neither is smoking or drinking and we seem to make allowances for those issues.
I'm curious what they are doing as far as security. I know they have some non-commissioned security guards, but what about police. Are they simply going to rely on the Victoria Police Department? Even Victoria College has a couple of police officers and they don't have dorms.
If it is city installed drainage, then the city should keep it maintained and cleaned out. I applaud Mr. Redburn's unique, if not slightly misguided efforts to get the city to take responsibility. Good luck. Just look around at this city with an unbiased eye. It is rapidly becoming a crap hole.
Very well researched, of course there will likely be certain die-hard, Obama apologists that will still refuse to see the facts. Rest assured though, if Obama had been a Republican, the liberal media would have hounded him relentlessly demanding valid proof of natural born citizenship; but alas, the media turns a blind eye to most of what the Democrats do. In my opinion there could only be three reasons that Obama does not release a true birth certificate in long form, thereby settling this matter once and for all....(1) he doesn't have one, (2) there is something on it that he and his advisers feel would be detrimental to him (possibly having his religion listed as Muslim?), or (3) being an arrogant individual, he deems it beneath him to allow himself to be forced to do so.
Well, we'll have two Walmarts and not a single cafeteria. Come back Luby's!

Safeway....I'm tired of HEB trying to shove their brand down my throat by dropping name brands.
