I have heartfelt sorrow for the employees and families that are affected by this shameful twist of fate. You will be touched in ways that you can never imangine. But keep in mind that maybe just maybe something better is in store for you. I have often wondered why the City of Yoakum allowed the Leather Industry to dictate what new businesses could come to town. The bottom line was money. Competition for employees would mean someone would have to be paid more than minimum wage. There is no getting around it. So now look where that line of thought has led the City of Yoakum. Yoakum has always been a city of hard working people, but at the same time it has also been a city divided by small town politics. Now is the time to forget the politics and show the hardwork ethic. There has got to be a rainbow after this storm!!!!
Way to go Yoakum Band!!!!!!! Thanks to the Advocate for putting us in the spotlight. Great kids. Go Big Blue!!!!!!!!
Has anyone noticed a trend in these comments? Every fan from both teams loves their team? Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose, but think about it. It was a great game that kept you glued to your seat. Hats off to all the players, coachs, bands, cheerleaders and everyone else who hollered their lungs out to cheer their teams on to victory. We are truly blest to live in a land where we are free to do enjoy Texas Schoolboy football at it's best. This game was one of the best.
