"Maryann. Lets get a few straight. As “Queen” of the Lavaca County Republican Party, \\you said that the bill will “save lives.” I am sorry, but that is FALSE !!!!!!! If you are really serious about saving lives and preventing Abortions. Then shouldn’t you agree with a Democrat ( an untraditional Democrat) like myself?? Here are the links for reference so you can read more. ( http://www.victoriaadvocate.com/weblogs/in-the-know/2011/jan/04/pro-life-not-pro-life-part-2-a-rebuke-of-the-morri/ ) & http://www.victoriaadvocate.com/weblogs/in-the-know/2010/mar/12/an-alternative-to-the-morrison-education-commissio/ ) 1) To curl the drop out rate is to empower that student. Students involved in extracurricular activities are less likely into gangs and drugs. Female students are less likely to be pregnant in high school. Encouraging at risk students to be involved in something. Adding reasonable points to their grade would help. Also, encourage work programs for the least wealthy students. 2) Remove political and religious extremism from the public education. If Sexually explicated material are banned, then banned Abortion posters with dead babies as well. Have a neutral, respectable, and honest sex education. Encourage Teen mothers to stay in school, but offer night classes or home schooling as an alternative. 3) crack down on deadbeat fathers, especially those who impregnate one woman after another after another. Last. Where in my comments I support abortion? Your comments is the reason why I am not on the Pro-life side. I blame both sides for the problems we have today. More so on your side because your side refuse to understand and tell apart who is Pro-choice and pro-abortion. They are not one and the same. -J. Williams. "

" Interesting information- can you cite your source? Also, it's fallacious to claim that "as many as 51,000 abortions were averted by the use of emergency contraceptives in 2000. RU-486 is an abortifacien and kills the newly formed human. If it was contraception, the human would have never been conceived. It works to kill the human; thus, it's abortifacient. Also, I didn't mzundertand your point. But there's a larger picture, of what Dr. Alveda King speaks of. I support her point of view on this topic."

"RESULTS: Forty-six percent of women had not used a contraceptive method in the month they conceived, mainly because of perceived low risk of pregnancy and concerns about contraception (cited by 33% and 32% of nonusers, respectively). The male condom was the most commonly reported method among all women (28%), followed by the pil(14%). Inconsistent method use was the main cause of pregnancy for 49% of condom users and 76% of pill users; 42% of condom users cited condom breakage or slippage as a reason for pregnancy. Substantial proportions of pill and condom users indicated perfect method use (13–14%). As many as 51,000 abortions were averted by use of emergencycontraceptive pills in 2000. One must be consistent when using birth control, as the inconsistency is the most common factor when birth control is used and pregnancy results. That was my point. "

"Thanks RB, so much! Yes, when you get a chance, send me some revved-up phrases that my husband can put in the report. We'd get a good laugh out of them. Maybe I'll come up with some too. "

"Mary Ann, Whoo-wee! It took a lot of work to find a way to give you the information you wanted. I thought you were in my list of friends. Guess I overlooked adding you. Thanks for the flattery. You brought a smile to my face, and I really needed it at just this moment. The correct phrase is "Robert made a motion to adjourn the meeting." "Robert moved to adjourn the meeting" is also correct. I don't know of any suave way to phrase it, but I'm sure I could come up with something if you want to sex up the minutes. ;)"

"6:30 would be more like it as we intend to stay later in the evening so we don't want to get there too early. Last year the grandbaby got overheated & we wound up driving to Yoakum & back to cool her down enough to go back out. Childrens activities still at the pavillion? I'll be interested in one for 2yr olds. Look for a dark haired 2yr old sporting a big bow accompanied by a lady with big sunglasses & a very sweaty man. : )"
