Janie, you are so right! I am sad they got fired, but they got caught! If they want to horseplay at work and get caught they have to be responsible for those actions. Blaming someone else is the cowards way out! I understand the stress they have and jokes are a norm on down time, but don't get caught!!

Good riddance Mr. Felton, who are you anyway! I never said they should be fired!!! You are the one who was trying to bully Roger Hempel. I and others called you on this and now you run for cover??? I am praying for these two families and don't wish this on them in any way!!! It was a decision made by a department not one man! He is the acting Fire Chief..... not the Fire Chief!!! This whole situation has been blown out of proportion and I blame the media.....KAVU and whoever has covered this story. On the 6 0'Clock news they are showing pictures and my 12 year old and 8 year old daughters are watching this filth!!!!! They propably dug those pictures out of the trash.....This is an all time low and it's getting worse!! Quit digging for dirt where there isn't any.....Roger Hempel was put in a position none of us would want to be in!!!!! I know him as a loving family man who works his butt off to do honest and reliable work. I know he didn't want to fire those guys but had no choice. Please leave him out of the mud slinging!!!!
I changed my post to correct of few mistakes. What I said was we have a double standard here. The boys teams have done these same photos with motorcyles and cars. It's to show team power, not sex! If it were a horse she would have to straddle that too!!! It's called riding! Apparently you have no taste for art if you only see sexual poses. If they had barely any clothes on that would be distasteful. By the way I love the West picture with the horses! Give these girls some credit!!

I am a mother of 2 young children and teach sunday school in a local Lutheran church. ELCA has only made things difficult for us, since we had no vote in the matter. They have allowed this and have left all the mess for the congregations to deal with. The ELCA is sitting pretty because everyone sees that human rights are being challenged. So unless you are a member of a Lutheran church you don't have any idea what we are going through. We don't take lightly who we want to be our Pastor. Our children who are our future are depending on our decisions. This is not just about lesbians and gays, ELCA has said this is what we voted on so deal with it...we have no say so in any matter...so let each Lutheran congregation make thier choice and mind your own bussiness!!!! It's not about excluding the gays and lesbians from church...I just don't want that leadership for my church!
