Way to go ! These synthetic drugs are just as bad as the real thing. Lately there has been several deaths directly linked to these synthetic drugs. It is a small step in the right direction by shutting down these businesses that are selling this crap. So people, instead of griping about the way your tax payer money is being spent and criticizing the law enforcement personnel - stop for a moment and thank these people who are trying there best to serve and protect 365/24/7 ! It may be you that has to call 911 someday.

I say lock him up and throw away the key. After the key is thrown away make sure all the inmates in his cell block know that he was previously employed by the State of Texas as a correctional officer. I worked for the prison system and trust me, once the other inmates find out he is a former officer he won't last long ! Karma is a .... and he will get what he deserves!

Bob - Even though this proposed injection well is outside of the Victoria city limits it has a direct impact on the city of Victoria. This well has a very high probability to contaminate the city of Victoria's source for drinking water which is the Guadalupe River. Everyone needs to rally together to get this proposed well moved to a more logical and appropriate location. It affects each resident of the City of Victoria and also the people who live out in the county near were the well is suppose to be installed.

Seriously....You should be thanking the fire department instead of bashing them. They work 24/7, 365 days a year protecting YOU. Before you spout off useless comments about something you have no knowledge of you should take the time to gather all of the facts on the subject. I work with these guys on a daily basis, regardless if it is a nosebleed or a major car accident they respond with no questions asked - as for being rude and cocky I have never witnessed that attitude in any of them. And yes, they do shop at HEB - since they work 24 hour shifts they do have to eat. But if you did not notice, they have the radio's with them and I have seen them on more than one occasion rush out the store without their groceries when a call comes in. So please, instead of griping and complaining about the guys and girls who serve you - thank them for the job they do ! The next life they save may be yours!

Seriously......Saxet Lake. Only attraction to see would be a drug deal or two. I think I would rather stay home and count the rocks in my driveway.l

It is a shame that Victoria County has put an exclusion on their employees insurance plans so that weight loss is not a covered benefit......I guess it is going to take an overweight officer to die of cardiac arrest after chasing someone before the county officials open their eyes and lift the exclusion.

I think this is a fabulous idea! I have worked in the medical field for many years and have seen many sad outcomes when a driver is distracted while operating a motor vehicle.

Thank God that this DPS trooper was not seriously injured. To all of you out there who are quick to criticize and say that this trooper was acting recklessly - I hope when and if you ever call 911 they take their time coming to your rescue. DPS, EMS, Fire, and our local PD risk their lives to serve and protect - maybe you should THANK them instead of making rude comments about them!

Since there has been so much in the news lately about obesity and how fat our city is it would be great to have an article on obesity from betterLife Bariatrics. I just saw the ad they have on Marketplace. It would be great to hear from Dr. B. Dean McDaniel and his staff.
