LOL....wonder what fiction novel the defense attorney was reading when he came up with this defense? I agree 100% vet43....ALL of his personalities should be held responsible. After all "they" were all there when he committed the crime....reminds me of a Tshirt I saw once about exercise...."Why punish my body for something my mouth did".....ANY out is just that, it's an out. And that's ALL they want.....He'll pay the price on many levels.......

digalitldper.......I hate to burst your bubble....but the way I see it is if we had 10 less ladies to help us pick out the perfect purse, or 10 less clerks at the convenience store, or 10 less folks to stock the shelves at WalMart, or 10 less....OK you get the picture, I don't think it would change too many of our lives.......

BUT, if we had 10 less Firefighters to work YOUR housefire, or 10 less Law Enforcement officers to help YOU when you have been burglarized or assaulted.....THAT would change your life....don't compare apples and oranges here.....

Sergeant I agree with some of the wasteful spending, but I can promise you that if ONE person reading this article or the VA was looking at a possible pay raise.....would THEY turn it down because there are others not getting one? I haven't had a pay raise in 2 years and my insurance deductible has doubled this year and we lost some of our insurance benefits, but if I was told there's a good chance I may get a 3-4% pay raise, your darn right I'd take it!!!

Do you hear yourselves? Most of the folks that will be benefiting from an increase are hard working public servants that do a job most of you don't have the nerve to do.

The tax rate has not been raised in YEARS, and everyone in Victoria County reaped the benefits of THAT while these public servants received no increases, higher insurance premiums, higher deductibles, more work, less benefits and they STAYED because when you get into this line of work you do it because it means something to you...you DON'T do it for the pay.

I say bravo to the county for realizing the worth of these fine folks, and I say Victoria Advocate......you just lost ANOTHER paying customer....

God Bless and keep you all. It's a horrific, evil disease that you don't fully understand until you've lived with it. Thank you for sharing a very touching and personal part of your life. It helps those of us living with it, and I pray it educates those who don't understand it. Much love to you and your beautiful parents. They definately raised you right and instilled you with a kind and giving heart.....God Bless
