Calhoun lost to themselves and with 6 minutes left in the game. Poor play calling, missing assignments, and turnovers will not win a game. Coach Whit needs a new playbook. A 5 yr old can sit in the stands and figure out what play will be next. If you are going to run the ball, then switch up the run. Not just up the middle, up the middle, then pitch and go left. And if you are going to pass the ball, at least work on it during practice. I know these boys work hard during the week. I know they go out there and give it their all on Friday nights, but cussing and yelling at them when they do make a mistake only adds to stress which adds to mistakes. Fans are sick to death of listening to you cuss out their kids when a play goes wrong. You want results, lead by example. Stop riding around in your golf cart and work with the boys. You want results, show this young team what they are doing wrong instead of screaming like a madman. Our football team member numbers are dropping. There has to be a reason. You want results stop being a dictator and be a leader.

Way to go Sandcrabs!!! You did an awesome job. First time on the field for a lot of you, so be proud of what you accomplished. Brandon Sanders and Brandon Griffith...ya'll keep everyone guessing just who had the ball. Great job.

You young men played with more heart than I have ever seen. You pushed to your very limits and beyond as you have done all year long. No one will ever be able to doubt that this team always strived for everything beyond the best they could do. I watched the tears flow Saturday night, and joined in as well. Not because we lost, but because the Sandcrab team held their heads high all the way to the end. Thank you all for giving us great games and amazing pride. When you look at yourself, know that the entire Calhoun community is proud and you all helped influence that. To the departing seniors, you leave behind a legacy for the school. You have given them something more to push and strive for in years to come. Be proud always. Until next year......Go Sandcrabs!!!!

Congrats Calhoun on the win. You worked hard and it showed last night. You remember that football has 4 quaters of play and you stayed with the game all night. EE has great athletes I will give them that, but 1 person does not win a game. I was reminded of that this morning listening to my son tell me about the excitment and the flow of energy last night on the sideline from all the players. The coaches never gave into the hype of EE. The team kept their heads in the game all 4 quarters. And no one ever gave up. Offensively and defensively our team was there to win. And that we did. So this one is behind us now. Next week is a new week, a different team. Time to left go of EE. Good Luck Sandcrabs!!! I'll be there next week screaming like the rest of Calhoun County!!!!

hey rl....the sandcrab qb, James, has been at practice..my son has been practing right along side him...yes he was sick with a virus a few weeks back, and his ankle was just a slight sprain from what I have been told by my son. The entire varsity squad is good to go and will be on the field ready for Floresville tonight!!!!!

The Sandcrabs have no starters out. I do believe that James is fully back and will be the QB for tonight.
    Go Sandcrabs!!!!!!

No one on the Calhoun Varsity Team is out. All starters have been at practice for the last two weeks and are going strong. This is going to be a good game. See ya'll in Victoria tomorrow night. Go Sandcrabs!!!!

well I planned on going out and picking up a few things for around the house today, so helping in any way those that are protecting me and my loved ones is a great honor.

What type of items are they in need of? I would rather send something that is needed and wanted by most then something that won't be of use at all.

Happy news to report on this Monday morning. A quick call to Animal Control this morning resulted in a happy family being reunited with their sons birthday presents. Buddy, this beautiful labs name, made an escape and hit the town for some excitement. The family combed the neighborhood looking for him, the son cried for his dog, and last night they didn't think they would ever see him again. This morning, I called animal control to see if anyone had reported him missing, gave them my name and address and phone number, just in case. One hour later, as a car pulled into my driveway, Buddy was on his way to being with his real family again.
