Oh lord....... People do have the right to voice there opinion, but.... At some point common sense needs to kick in and realize that maybe, just maybe, chastising ( right or wrong) the hand that feeds you may not be the best idea, do you go to work and say negative things about the people you work with, if you did that, in a city government setting, you wouldn't last long. Plus, it sounds to me that this is probably not a person the city of Cuero would like representing them, and the city has the right to terminate her employment at any time, as long as its not on the basis of race, sex, sexual orientation, age etc!! Being an outspoken person is not a protected
Element. So if you want to be in the game of city politics, you need to learn how to play along, filing law suites and emailing nagative comments is not the smartest thing to do, in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if she was gearing up for another law suit. Sounds like that's the type of person she is.

Why would I care what she wrote, fact is, if it has ANY negative overtones to it, and it's about another city department, I would say that mrl25 hit the nail on the head. Can we say goodbye!!

Of cours she will holler about "free speech". She will try to be protected by "free speech". fact is, you are constitutionally allowed to say what you want, but........ You are also free to suffer the consequences of that speech. Policies and procedures are in place for reasons usually not understood by the common employee. This speech she is claiming to be protected by constitutionally, is free, but she is not protected by policy and procedure. In other words, see ya, wouldn't want to be ya!!

100% politician. Sad thing is he just a commissioner, not like he is anything really. Why didn't he just fire everyone when he got in there, and then rehire who he wanted rather than going through all of this to find a reason to fire her, would have prevented a law suit, but then again, we are talking about Calhoun politicians.
