The first thing I would have done was press charges. The mother just said it is "ok" to steal someones car, wreck it, and cause serious injury to others. The parents of the kid with the broken back would be wise to press charges so he can't hurt anyone else. He could have killed all his passengers.

What happened with Megan Baylis who came from South Africa? She was pregnant; had no job, no money and lived in a tent with her dad for awhile. I believe she lived in the Ezzell area. She did give birth to a baby girl but had to return to Africa because she was here on a VISA.
Law Enforcement's role in the community "should be to issue a traffic citation when someone caused an accident." Over the last week, there have been about 3 accidents where someone ran a red light and hit someone, clipped another car and rear ended someone. None of these were given a citation. And we wonder why people drive like maniacs.
Great job coach and players. Hang in there. Good things are headed your way!!!!!!
WOW. I think Coach Elkins will do a great job. Hopefully he will stick around for more than two seasons to really see a difference. I do have to say that he will have his hands full. I hope he gets the parents support and gets kids respect. I know the school board will support him. All the luck!!!!!!!!! and success.
My heart goes out to the family. Losing a child is unimaginable. I don't want to sound harsh, but there are so many unanswered questions. I live in the neighborhood and I can't understand how little Kyler even made it that far from his house in just a tshirt and underwear. There is too much brush and weesatche. Cars are always up and down the road. Someone saw or heard something. No one heard ANYTHING? No screams, no dogs barking uncontrollably. The first time Kyler would have stepped on a sticker or something he would have screamed. Then to find out this site was under investagation for homicide and CPS has been involved for "supervision" issues. There are a lot of pieces missing here and someone needs to speak up. A little boy lost his life. This is absolutely unacceptable. I do not agree with banning a certain breed. However there needs to be guidelines put in place so this doesn't happen. It's not the breed; they are trained to attack. And that goes for any animal.
This is the second accident this week where the at-fault driver did not receive a citation. What is really going on?
I have been wondering the same thing!!!!! How can you not issue a ticket for causing an accident?
What is up with no freaking citaions given when accidents occur? It seems like one out of every five or six may receive a citation. Accidents happen because someone did something "wrong". They should be given a citation. Now wonder why people drive like maniacs because they know if they have an accident in Victoria they won't get a citation. Come on VPD. Get your paper and pens out and start doing what your supposed to do. Give citations to those who break laws!!!!!!!!
