City needs to looks into making same arrangements for the LL and girls complex. HS girls can not hold any concessions there at all! Talk about double standards and biased thinking by the City leaders and directors. Make it all the same level playing field.

we built the $15 million ball complex and for what??? Seasonal play, did we even get numerous playoff games here other than the local HS teams till they were out. Field of Dreams (StJ) had several softball playoff games. WHY??? Even Riverside was used limited time--ISD in the area overlook Victoria constantly. The COV doesn't promote 'heads in beds' and seems only for Boot related functions. But to spend $30,000..where is that money coming from????
area 51. is there something or someone really there that is from out of this galaxy?
the rich crying now they have nothing to do, IMO! I will be surprised if this gets posted----That is my statement about our kiddos here in town they don't have a "VPAC" group to help them out. They have the new Youth Complex that is used seasonly since it overpriced and too regulated to rent for tourneys. Then you look at the B/W summer Bball league..many sponsors but mainly mom and pops business here in town or from visiting teams area. Support the entire area and maybe people will know what Show is playing. Most of you are 'known' in inner circles and act like the brothers in Eddie Murphy's movie "Trading Places" and use folks as pawns.
As times are hard families are looking to get their kids scholarships from someone(?) Speedy Stop doesn't help. McDonald's locally what.., etc. Maybe get some initiative to get families to go but truthfully I would rather go watch a HS's One Act Play.
TxEx..I have to agree with you. Certain folks control Victoria and nothing gets in or out. Downtown sidewalks? City sports complex? Citizens Healthplex? Sewer Plant location?
All done for a vested interest by someone/group. Now talk of extending Airline to the Airport. C'mon lets do something at R.side Park--why hasn't nothing been done ever! Look at San Marcos, Seguin and other little cities they have areas of improvements with pavers and significant landscaping. Now Cuero has the 'christimas in the park' to our what. Why? was Red River Street NOT repaired all the way down to the park entrance, hmmm.
These folks need to TAKE OFF their 'boots' and get better organized and new blood (ideas) and don't feel threaten with new ideas. The football playoffs brought more people in town and now it seems Alamodome is taking that market away. Merry Christmas to all....ho ho ho
UHV needs to promote with the athlete student like VC did. Why so many from all sports not from the coastal bend but from houston, dallas and deyond. I personally hear parents who kids play for instance softball/baseball that would rather play here instead of hours away. Yes, they would rather play at home NAIA and give up elsewhere even if its D2/3 schools. Its all politics here in victoria and will always be with 'boots on'.
one band...one sound!you guys sounded wonderful at last home game sitting in the end zone. could actually hear you and not just the visitor band as years past. I hope that continues.........Congrats!!!!!!
maybe we need to get some folks from Chile on how to dig a small hole. Present them some "BOOTS" and visit Victoria
$1000 stipend for a Leader of a ISD. C'mon Bloomington I am surprised Warnell-Fillmore wants to tackle this. I bet she will do an awesome job. She is not the Coach but the top Administrator...treat her like one.
