They already refuse patients from other facilities if they are too obese; however, they are a Bariatric Center for Excellence, but that is for elective wieght reduction cases.
This hospital also does the bariatric surgery for patients but at the same time refuses to accept patients that are too overweight. WOW, pick and choose your doctors, patients and your staff. So who is good enough to be there??? Desirable staff, patient and doctors come in all varieties including those with insurance that may be too overweight, staff that are too overweight but very smart and capable and doctors that may not meet " some administrative" look, but it looks like our community loses with that lack of judgement.
The story starts because of a domestic violence call, then the police find the car called into PD, then the suspect gives a false name bc he was under warrant for aggravated assault w/ deadly weapon, then the pill bottle was found. After multiple convictions, what else do you sentence?? 25 to 99 years- they are released in 15 or 1/4 of the sentence plus awarded time for good behavior- the system is flawed... thats the tough part of "justice".
What constitutes temporary driver inattention??? The highway has lots of visibility, so the driver must have had more than a few seconds of inattention to rear end that vehicle. I wonder if the brakes were applied or just full speed hit the vehicle. I hope a cell phone was not involved. Two fatal wrecks in Victoria in two days- all drivers( this includes me) please be careful. Prayers to all involved
@ vet 43, your comments are so true regarding the limitations related to physician referrals ... and to add to that are the limitations by some insurance companies that have contracts w/ certain MD groups/ hospitals/ care providers that may make this web even more tangled.
WOW... I am surprised to see so few comments on here for this topic. This is the type of headline that seeps from our community into larger news markets- Yikes! Why cant we be touted for something fabulous- we need a tide of change for the positive around here!!
Just a mom, I hear you!!!lol!! I love to listen to music while in the car, but I have not understood why the people have music so loud I feel the bass in my chest.I dont enjoy hearing more foul language at a stoplight embedded into their music than Ive hear in years, outside of my car. Im am not advocating changing someones lyrics or music, but not subject me or my children to the distasteful stuff. We say.... where are the police- this has got to be toooooo loud. A helo that left 15 times in one year( just more than once per month) can not be that bad- must be a new resident or someone got mad and is projecting their irritation towards the helicopter in Northcrest. I feel for the residents by the hospitals as those choppers may leave anytime 24/7- that would be the pits!!!
This physician should lose his medical license since he retaliated against professionals that have been proven to report him in good faith. The nurses were compelled by their Nursing Practice Act to report unprofessional conduct and could have lost their licenses if this was done inappropriately. In fact, even with the threat of losing their jobs, they reported and completed their professional duty. The Practice Act that regulates physicians in Texas actually mentions retaliation and its penalites. It should be enforced to the fullest extent of its ability, esp since he has been sanctioned by The Texas Medical Board on previous occasions( public information).
